I MISS LITERATURE

sorry gals for this post, only if u could have played literature... Guys we played literature towards the end of our hostel life. Though it seemed distinct then i miss it a lot. I am playing cards here. Cards earn my bread and butter :), a curious case though, but am not gambling.Am playing poker 2-3 hours daily with blackjack, gammon to follow. But I miss the sleepless nights we spent at J 502;raving and ranting about the cards we got, pulling each others leg, taking a peek at others cards;the fun is all lost . Every time i play a hand in poker i am reminded of the games we played with play money although i was not a part of it :) Hope we find time to play such games during our reunion. East or west literature is the best!!!!

Behind the scenes & On the stage

Disclaimer: Characters depicted in this story are all imaginary. We apologize for any resemblance to real life coincidences.

The evening was warm, still and cozy.. it was a massive gathering at the altar and they were all engrossed with each other as it was an occasion to be treasured.. Every character in that colosseum knew that it was the one last time they could raise to the occasion and celebrate in unison... And so did they!

But for some, it was an entirely different face of joy and for few others, it was the moment of truth.... For that matter of fact, one mermaid in the ocean wore a goreous blush on her when she found that her sea shell was so adorable and above all being garlanded as one amongst a million.. For many it would have been just another seashell of mere existence. But for her it was pride, glory and destiny.. There is a catchphrase which says "Even to a crow, its dearest ones are of golden virtue"... But the story takes a turn when Mr.jellyfish from the clan discovers this secret delight of the mermaid and gets its tentacles dirty with some inspection on the suspicious mermaid.. which unravels the mystery of the mermaid's mister.......................................................

To be continued....

FICKLE MINDED INDIANS

India has posted a shock exit from the super 8 thanks to some amazing tactics by MSD. Almost all the news channels, news papers and the critics have been discussing this for the past two days. Fine team India has achieved a lot and this exit is just another failure as every team would have.

The matter of concern is not India's exit from the world cup but its the nature of we 'Indians'. When India does not perform in cricket , the effigies of cricketers are burnt , protests made and their houses stoned by the masses, why Indian team has failed to expect the peoples expectations. But,why don people dont react when it comes to politics. The politicians are elected by the people, they use our money for their protection, comfort etc and yet nothing effictive is done, and people still remain dumb spectators to all the fiasco going on.

Such is the fickle nature of the Indian masses who tend to vote for a person who says that she knows 3 languages ans hence people should vote for her(A south Indian actress), and uneducated people become politicians.

As long as Indians are insensitive to what that happens around them the corruption, extortion, etc etc will continue and India will remain a third world country forever. There is no point in cleaning Indian cricket when India itself is in a sorry state.

COMPANY EXPERIENCE

I joined IVY on the 8th of this month. The culture and technology at IVY is really exciting. For the first week there were presentations by all the leading persons of the company right from the m.d to the business sector. The culture here is open. One could interact directly with the top officials , without going through the process of getting the approval of the immediate superiors. Ivy is a subsidary of party gaming , which is an online gaming company dealing with card games like poker, bingo , gammon etc. The core tech is mathematicaly based and probability related. The other techs being the improvement of the web interface etc. Everything sounds a bit exciting . I will get to work on latest techs like spring, struts, ruby, ajax etc... Ivy as a whole sounds exciting.

TOUGH TIMES DONT LAST BUT TOUGH PEOPLE DO

Friends we have become graduates. enna thambi,.... manisekaran style la aramikuren nu bayapadathinga. It was a very nice experience wearing that black robe and getting the first degree of our life. Meeting all our guys again... fantastic

The title of this post has been suttufied from the chief guests speech so I would like to add another famous quote :"when the going gets tough the tough get going". The message given by the chief guest is what we all need to do , to be multifaceted, to be expertised in many fields and not to restrict our vision. If one wants to survive technically he needs to know the technology that drives the world everyday. We should be tough enough to face the odds of life and overcome them, thats where our knowledge and education will help us.

Be unorthodox in approach. think out of the box- thats the mantra to success in todays corporate world, imagine anyone who would do a project to extricate a child from bore wells without digging pits.thinks we think trivial may be the gateways to huge success.

"two roads diverged in an yellow wood.....
then took the other less travelled by
and that has masde all the difference"
