Moving the Audience

Speeches from industry topguns.. Motivational moments... Sentimental seconds... Awe inspiring movies... Goosebump causing books... Epic tale of a majestic king... Reality show touching moments... of all these, u know one thing that is common to all of them!!! Well its not a very tough nutshell to crack. It is basically the underlying essence in them that move the audience and make them feel that they have seen something that is truely possible and torches the brighter side in u which aims for an all new level of confidence.

There could have been several such moments in ur life. I have got those enlightening feelings many a times. It may even come up when u see a cheetah hunt a hyena with a strategy and brutality. The line of approach need not necessarily be conventional where u find the usual story of truth, justice and the good triumph. Tell me this, all of you would have watched the movie Nayagan, and the morphing of Karna-Duryodhana friendship into Thalapathy. Did any of us feel the pinch that these guys are all involved in anti-social activities and they are fundamentally criminals???? No, not at all. All of us felt that glorious feeling and emotional touch when we saw that on screen. Similarly when a Lion hunts down its prey and its shown in discovery channel, we all are amazed by the Lion's tactics and muscle.

So its all basically the wrapping of the gift that matters and the way the story is narrated. Ravana is depicted as evil and demon in our culture. But all of us know that Ravana is a lot more than the devil he is highlighted to be. His intellectual ability, powerful leadership and his seasoned talent in music and singing are some to be highlighted. Ithu mathiri niraya sambavangal irukirathu, i.e. our own beliefs in human race and psychological definition of the right and the wrong can be overriden at times and we ourselves will not feel the shift of paradigm in it and we would unknowingly even support the invasion of our own ideologies.

Here comes the main reason behind me bringing thiss post up..... The movie Avatar is no different from all the points that i touched above. Ultimately, this movie is also talking about our race of people trying to fight some aliens living in Neverland!! and expand our kingdom. But, but, ipdi sonaal ellarum yena adika thaan varuvinga.. Whyyy?? Bcuz we felt that the Na'vis are on the appealing end and our law court within declared them as having the fairplay creed and integrity. Athey story ah, humans trying to kill aliens and weird creatures of the 3rd world and triumph against them endru kaamichurunthaal wouldnt we have still enjoyed it?! Well, think about it guys... Thats the case with every exhilirating and mind stirring story.... Alexander, Napoleon Bonaparte, India Pakistan cricket matches..........!

There goes 2009, the year of events

We are nearing the end of a very eventful year. What a wonderful year it was for all of us. Most of us got the taste of what the actual world is this year only. Till last year we were students and this year we stand as responsible people. Lot of expectations from our parents and well wishers and of course from our managers :). And not to forget a big thing, we became graduates this year. For every person the year which takes them to an independant state with respect to earning for themselves has a lot of significance does it not?

So many firsts for us this year: 1st degree, 1st company, 1st salary and so many like that. I thought it wud be interesting if we all get to know what we did with our first salary :).

With my first salary I got an ipod for my dad and a mobile for my mom :) It gave so much happiness to get something for parents out of first salary :) :)

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Welcoming 2010 with joy :)

Bye bye 2009...

Avatar - a must watch movie

Hats off to James Cameron... What a classic movie!! I have never watched Titanic in theatre and beleive it or not I myself want to watch Avarar more than once in theatre which suprises myself coz of the interest that I show on movies... I must say I was blessed to watch the movie in IMAX on the second day itself :).

The technology in it makes you feel wowww... The movie has so much in it for every minute that you hardly take your eyes off the screen unless your eye hurts of course :P It had proper mix of emotion, action, fiction and message.

The most lovely thing was even though it was purely fictional they conveyed a practical message which should make every human being think of the harm that is being created because of him/her.

Love, pain, action, views, natural fiction everything was simply awesome....

DONT MISS TO WATCH IT ON 3D SCREEN

PS: I am going to watch it for second time tomorrow :P

THE FIRST AND THE LAST

I hope tis ll b 1 more typical post of mine.. :) Many of us don't know the importance of first and last.. Scholars said.. t words first and last are always special and imp in tis world and in our life.. There s a famous quote, "the first breath of a man is his birth.. and the last breath is his death.. " depicting their imporatnce.. In day to day life, we see ppl remembering 1ly t first and last person of any act, no matter how many times t same got achieved again and again in between.. v don remember t second person who reached Everest as ppl always pin point to Tenzing when talked abt tat peak.. so, regardless of wat we do.. its really interesting to know its first and last occurence.. tis post is to dig all those firsts ans lasts.. but i want to narrow down t hunt 1ly to our college life.. Down s a template of first and lasts that we came across in our college.. Pl use the template below and everyone do comment.. If u cant recollect, leave it as blank.. Start to remember those in ur future..

SPAN : From first day to last day of college.

NOTE : If you find some more interesting firsts and lasts, pl free to add up yourself.. I limit myself for these 10+1.. so, pl don't ignore these..

Proud to be a Citrite

Hey people :) Long since I even dropped into this URL :( But I must confess, I got to read only Senthil's. Now I understood why he has sent such a desparate mail!! -> This would have applied if I had posted this a week back when I intended to :P

The actual reason of not being able to drop in was increase in number of travels back and forth and helping new joinee's training[people do note this point just helping :)] adding on to existing work pressure. Wish one day was free at office as Senthil says!! I get up on every non-Tuesday/Friday hoping that the day will be little free and that I will be able to do some of my long-pending personal works. But damn it!! Somewhere or the other work jumps from say heaven :). These exceptional Tuesday's and Friday's are days on which we get weekly builds and bless them I hardly get time to eat on these days!

So going on to the actual content of the post, what Citrite signifies is a person working @ Citrix :) What makes me proud to be there is the fact that exactly one year before I was an apprehensive attendee of the session calling everybody in the vicinity a 'Sir'! Only a sir coz my team was all guys when I entered and beleive it or not now it has 7 girls including me, which is more the number of guys[6] :) Just one year past I am the host of the same session to my juniors. I must really accept that this company has the ability to shape people so well.

I took few sessions on basics of Perl and other product related sessions. If anybody is interested in learning Perl, I will share the presentation.

Hope all of you ppl already know this. Peria's joining has increased our batch size here to 3 :) max in any dual company I guess :) We beat our rivals RSA :)

Past few days went in breaking head for preparing few PPT's and updating few both for my work and for helping in training. And why is this helping coming into picture is because the new joinee's temporary mentor is quite close to me :) Called Gopal - he is a tamilian too :) Our team when spilt revolves on a single centre point on head of a Kannadiga - not equally balanced though. One side with 9 tamilians including the manager himself. And on the other 3 north Indians.

And well earned couple of hours for everyday were spent off the PC on a Jeffrey Archer's novel - The paths of Glory. Before starting the novel, not much aware of my mistake - wrongly referred Jeffrey's book to our beloved Jeffrey as "The glory of paths" :) A very good novel for anyone who has a bit of interest in climbing. I am still skeptical on the fact that it was Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay were the first the set foot on Everest's summit, yes I do beleive George Mallory succeeded in his attempt. But poor him to die sadly. Overall a good realistic novel.

At last oru vaaram poradi draft ready panni post panni mudichuten :) :)

400 Days at Reckitt Benckiser

Its been quiet a journey and i request each one of u to do this bit and take us thru a virtual tour of ur stint at the firm that u re presently acquainted with for the tenure u have spent. I am sure, however good or bad, you guys surely would have something to recall and relish just like how dumb our class was, but still we managed to find the tiny portions of fun quotient in it.
It was November 27th, 10 days post the date on the offer letter I stepped into the Global Service Center of Reckitt Benckiser India Ltd. Since then there have been so many adventures and roller coaster rides. There have also been extremely boring days where i do nothing but toggle between my chat window and blog window and at times hindu.com ;) Tenure at Reckitt is of 2 forms: 1st as a Project Trainee and then as a Management Trainee currently. Its all been based out of Gurgaon/Delhi office. The office I work for is called as the GSC - Global Service Center, which is basically like a Infrastructure, application development and support team for the business guys who in turn use this application for buying and selling stuff. This is a very mundane definition. But, yes, this is what my office is meant to be - a back processing/IT center for the company.
The underlying fundamental in our work culture is - people drive technology and we are not Technocrats. Ithu thaan punchline. Atha revolve panni thaan work assignment and stuff. I was given a training on Technology X and Technology Y on the 1st two weeks. The 3rd week I was put into a Technology Z which is apparently the product of Big Bulls Firm ABC. I went in and came out thru many doors of that application and today i support it globally and administer it for all users. Around 2000 users and atha base panni support, troubleshooting and developments. Atha thavara intha journey la I was also put into another vertical D which is basically revolving around Technology S. Then athayum ukanthu from scratch oru Top Gun kooda work panen. Not much of contribution as he himself is a show stopper - so learning opportunities less.
Irunthalum i am part of that team also. Now that Top Gun has reported for his marriage and i have taken over the application and vertical for the interim and i am kind of messed up as i am not an SME like him in this. Paravala - still surviving thru doing back 2 back shifts and extremely impossible working hours. Naan sonaal yaarum namba maatinga. There would have been atleast a Quarter that I would have spent my nights in the office - meaning a 24 hour bombshell.. I walk in at 10 and walk out the next day morning 7.
And, not for a surprise, its not just me who does these things. There are a set of driven people whom i work with who do the same. Ippo after all these days i have been pulled into a 3rd technology JKLMNOPQRSTUV - the abstract abbreviation itself is so big as the application is the business critical Tier 1 app.:) atulayum konjam konjam kai vituruken. Lets see - athu thaan yen future endru predict panren. But who knows - its been a crazy journey with a particular fun fact - There has been not a hour of the day that I have not been in office. :)

Lil Memoirs from Back Then

Not long since we all got together and settled in as a team. When this happened, there were apparently many sleepless nights and lots of heated discussions and discoveries of known stuff going on.. Reinventing the problem wheel and we were literally fuming furiously :) Thats where IT-R was born. The Rebellions. Well, its not as hasty as it sounds. Its just a small group of jugheads who sat together and came to an agreement that an enemy to an enemy is our friend. As simple as that.

But slowly we picked up pace amongst us and it before we could realise we gelled in as a proper final year set :). wah wat a pleasure to know that u can walk into class and not dream about when to get out of it. It seriously was a turn table for me as this was kind of reincarnation of a college life which almost dipped deep down misery lane.

But yes, on the brighter side we guys did some great internal work. We cracked all our stress (Dunno from where :)) through computer peripherals such as switch, hub, lan cables which enabled us hard core gaming... Almost every other nite to the snack bar as a big bunch of buffaloes for nite drench :)... Going out in time table order to Kaiyendhi bhavan / Ganapathy mess / Leiden / occasionally Boomerang & Arunachalas :) for dinner.. Eat like flood hit victims :)... Then the most unforgettable part was the sleepless nites we spent before internals where we would look at Meenakshi/Karthika's notes in complete awe and amazement :) That we did sit thru so many classes, yet grasp so little.

There was also one day that i would like to especially recall. This was a particular weekend where there was a sudden surge in the weather conditions and our star sportsmen changed their minds about the game that was gonna be played in the last minute. And before the champs could make up their mind, it started to drizzle.. Then all idiots locked their PCs and rolled out to the small ground with the FOOTBALL. Waah.. unforgettable. Us vs. Sandwich fellows who already were playing. Then we challenged them like Vadivelu as our head count was low. But who cares, "We are the unleashed tigers in hunt of its prey" was the attitude. And so was the attitude with Rain. It poured real hard on us and so did we up the tempo in the game. It was such a wet hot game :) We had Kini, Hari, Arun, Bharat, Arul and Jeffrey was with his books then I guess :)

P.S. Dont ask about the score or the end result. All i remember was my mobile phone was squirking water like a pump after the game.!

My Last day in Villa Angsana...Hopefully I negate this statement very soon

The last one week has been so beautiful and colorful that i indeed came out of all the office and personal trauma and drama which i was indulged in when i was back in delhi. Who knew this, when there is a 360degree fast forward in your life and u enter a completely different zone in this world.. so does ur mindset and thought process. Adengappa yena oru maayam, office la amarnthu mandayai pozhakum alavuku velai irukum bothellam ithu mathiri shift of paradigm kidaithal apadi thaan arumai aaga irukum..

Aayiram thaan irunthalum, yen veedu oru Islamic country il irukindrathu.. But the poor mind doesnt bother about the people, culture, language or surrounding when it comes to home. Home sweet home endru yen koorugirargal.. Veedu kaadil irunthalum athu oru athisaya poonga.. That's the neural network within us :) After all Malaysia is a country that u guys shld write down in ur wish list of places to visit. Apdi mudivu seithal yenaku oru phone podungal, i ll set up a royal carriage service and surprise for u :) yen endral ithu yen ooru yen veedu.. :)

There are several beginnings to this story. How did i land up here out of the blue? Wat were the athiradi actions that had taken place in between sitting in delhi and now sitting in my Kuala Lumpur house and drafting this post? Wat made this official trip the welcoming break i was waiting for? All beginnings lead to the same end.. A long story short.. I am here on a paid holiday endru sollalam :D but yen boss serupaala adipaar.. Athunaala i shall not commit that statement.

There are some thrilling stories behind this armageddon 7day trip. shall put them out in the coming posts. Coming back to the basics, the trip was extremely fabulous and above all i spent a quality time with my parents and bro who apparently have a very good point that its been 2yrs and 8months since i came home last :).. I return 2 my 2nd home happily today with all the items on my Bucket List checked :D. This is wat u call an ecstatic feeling. It was a one week crash course to reviving the Goodie Goodie senthil ;)

My novel journey – part 1

I don’t know how u guys gonna respond to it.. v are already in a drowning boat.. :( Lets all try to fix the hole :) I make my fix with tis post :)
I dunno how to start wit t post.. All I want is to share few moments of my journey wit Chetan bagat’s novels.. some may feel weird.. bcoz in one of my older comments.. I hav mentioned that I don’t read books and t two novels I read in my life are Scarlet pimpernal and Tom sawyer… yeah that was true.. but now t case is different and read 3 of his novels :) :) I have to really thank this guy Chetan Bagat for bringing out this change in me.. His first novel “5.someone”, t story is abt 3 IIT guys.. There are many reasons why I started reading this novel.. Few are,
1. Aamir’s next movie 3 idiots is based on this novel.
2. One of my friends ridiculed me for not reading tis novel.
3. And moreover, the lead character’s name in the novel is Hari.
I completed this novel in 2 nights.. I wish 2 share my first night’s experience (with t novel),
I started this “five point someone” at around 9.some pm after dinner.. though I listed out many reasons, I really started this one to kill time.. :) but on contrary the story enthralled me and pulled me into it.. I neva felt like that bfore.. I felt like watching a movie in that book..:) I wanted to know the next and next… and finished three 4th of the book at around 3.some am t next day.. I really don’t want to close that.. but I have to go office t next morning… I kept alarm at 6 am, knowing that I won’t get up at 6.. after some hours… slowly I was opening my eyes.. tat sound was intolerable..:(:( I want to cancel the alarm and throw my cell away.. I took my cell with my half eyes open.. oh shit!!! That was not alarm.. tat was my cab driver calling at 8:45am for pickup.. f..k:( he had already given me 3 missed calls.. :(:( I called him back and asked him to leave telling him that I was not feeling well :( then I started getting ready for office.. I hav to spend 50 bugs for auto.. on each-day when I miss my cab.. I finally got one after denied for residency road by 4 autowalas.. I started at 9 30, reached office at 10:10.. I was thinking abt the novel in 2hourly basis, that is thinking once in 2 hours.. abt the remainder portion.. I returned back early that day to finish 5.sum1, I started at 7 and successfully completed tat around 10 pm sacrificing my dinner on that day.. :(
I could rate 10-10 for this novel.. I shared my novel experience with my sisters and few of my friends.. they cudnt believe me.. as they know tat I am a book-repellent :) Few months later, my sister presented me “3 mistakes my life” book.. bcoz of my new novel interest.. it had 3 friends.. alike 5.someone.. but t plot is different.. t book is mainly abt cricket and religion.. chetan used some real incidents like guj bhuj disaster and india-Aus match... though this novel fulfilled my expectations.. I cant get t ecstasy in his first novel.. except for the climax chapters.. which are really adrenalin pumping.. I completed tis book in 3 nites and 1 afternoon.. no funny reminiscence to remember wit this novel :( In part 2, i shall discuss about chetan's recent flick "2 states". catch u soon :) :)

Mahjong Solitaire - (上, shàng; and 海, hǎi)

Up, On or Above the Sea. This is what Shanghai literally translates too. A more poetic name for Shanghai switches the order of the two characters, Hàishàng (). Leaving behind its strong history in politics and growth during the Song Dynasty, Shanghai is the largest city in the People's Republic of China and serves as the business port of China. So it is basically the Mumbai of China. It is also more commonly known as Paris of the East and the Queen of the Orient. It is also at the mouth of the Yangtze River delta and it stands divided by the Huangpu River as 2 places - Pudong and Puxi.
Which brings us also to the highlight that China's International Airport at Shanghai is called PUDONG. I was so complacent as the climate only 7 degrees when we landed ground and what a coincidence - the first hoarding i saw outside in the dark was HITACHI :).. He he, this brand is most familiar to our generation as it holds a good position in the electronics market as well. But the true face of the presumed climate was exposed the moment we stepped outside the building to board the Audi coach which awaited the arrival of our 6 member team. I was smoking haze and it was stupendously cold - not because of the degree centigrade, but bcuz of the chill breeze which wud freeze u alive if not properly protected with 3 to 4 layers of clothing.
It was not a drastic change as Delhi is equally cold except for the rain with strong wind. I was all prepared for the 5 day journey in similar lines - had my monkey cap ;) jerkins & pullovers. The Audi drove us for an hour into the city to reach the Nanjing Road East where our EAA - GSC Conference was being hosted in the Le Royal Meridien hotel. I should admit, it was by far one of the most impressive contemporary landmarks i have come across. It featured great panoramic views and located in the heart of Shanghai which made it convenient to roam around Nanjing pedestrian street and 10 minutes walk to THE BUND - shopping area by the river.
Now to the rooms, phewwww.. Exotic is the only word which should be used to describe the rooms in there. For those of you who know prashanth (Our year Placement Coordinator), he was my twin sharing roommate. Room 2211 was sparkling, glowing, glossy and upscale. Solla varthai illai. Everything about tat place was cozy. Apram yena, odi poi bed la kuthuki aaramichathu thaan nyabagam iruku. The next thing in my conscience was waking up to the alarm ring from the lobby stating its time for breakfast. Ha ha, ithu allava vazhkai.. Ithu mathiri royal service nobody wud have got even when they were a mummy's lil baby. Hmmm.. apdiyee poi bath tub la ukaantha naan 40 mins kaluchu oru awesome body massage aana feeling oda veliya vanthen. Yena oru vazhkai ada maanida.!Then a day of awesome discussion about the East Asia and Global Service Centre colloboration and operational challenges. Forget about all that, come to the breakfast. Buffet spreadout to the extense of a hallway. All varieties of food.. continental, asian, chinese, western, suburban, fruits, deserts, seafood, pastries, baked, fried, grilled, boiled, steamed.. ella vithamana cuisines.. ellathulayum oru kai vachu pathutu resumed back to the objective of the conference :) - the meeting. Lunch was also equally well organized. Then after a quiet good start we had the evening hours planned for a Crash course to China living.
  1. Kung Fu training
  2. Calligraphy writing
  3. How to make Dumplings
  4. Seasons and Food - the healthy way of living.

In the night, the 6 of us from GSC assembled together to prepare ourselves on hand to be able to align ourselves for the presentation our Area IS Director - David Downs was going to present to us the next day. Late nite we crashed. The next day a similar routine and towards the end of the day we were split into 2 teams - 1 Global ERP and Customer Service & Delite. I belonged to the 1st team. We did the brainstorming and after that session I was asked to assist the 2nd team in making their presentation with all the beautification, animation and movie making. 14 of us, ellarukum information modules split panni kuduthutu i was sitting with a colleague who assisted me to construct the actual ppt from the modules produced by the other guys. All 14 of us got together in 1 room and it was great fun and team spirit to see such enthusiasm.

Next day was the actual presentation. I had actually transitioned to the other team for presenting the slides as well. It went really well and I had been given the opportunity to the opening slides and concluding ones. Delighted David was. Hope we stuck the right chord. Then the rest of the day after the PPT was cool, Karaoke night.. dance floor.. dinner with the team and back to the hotel. One of the 6 guys in us is getting married in December. So we threw him a bachelor party.

The next day midday a full body massage was arranged in the Spa closeby. Athuku apram yenala oru bone kooda move panna mudiyala - apdi oru thookam ilukuthu. Room poi super ah oru thookam potutu we assembled back in the evening and went for a discussion which was triggered post presentation the previous day. Atha mudichutu we all went for a proper traditional road side Vegetable Fried Rice dinner 2 streets away from the hotel. Super aana oru finding athu. All the 6 of us had an awesome dinner for the most economical of costs - 4 RMB per big bowl of fried rice. Amazinggg!

The ultimated day was left only for shopping and we went to the copy marked in Xing Wang Emporium. Gokka Makka shopping, bargaining and suthufying. It was awesome. Antha oru shopping experience pathi separate oru post eh eluthalam ;). U must the quality of stuff u get there and u can bargain like crazy. No problem of language as all the negotiations was done via the calculator ;). Company kudutha ella Forex money um athula sutti thalliyaachu :).. Back we were, 10 pm China time in the airport for boarding AI - 349 back home. A befitting climax was that the dinner in Air india was splendid and it made me drool that I requested for another hot pack and had twice the amount of listed dinner menu :)

FUNNY MAIL

I got a mail from i friend which i thought was too funny. so i decided to share it with u. Here it is.....

One day while walking down the street a highly successful
Human Resources Manager was tragically hit by a bus and she died. Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.

"Welcome to Heaven," said St. Peter. "Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a Human Resources Manager make it this far and we're not really sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," said the woman.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever one you want to spend an eternity in."

"Actually, I think I've made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven", said the woman

"Sorry, we have rules..."

And with that St. Peter put the executive in an elevator and it went down-down-down to hell.

The doors opened and she found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of her were all her friends - fellow executives that she had worked with and they were well dressed in evening gowns and cheering for her. They ran up and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner.

She met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kind
of cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a good time that before she knew it, it was time to leave. Everybody shook her hand and waved goodbye as she got on the elevator.

The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St. Peter waiting for her.

"Now it's time to spend a day in heaven," he said. So she spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She had great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St. Peter came and got her.

"So, you've spent a day in hell and you've spent a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity,"

The woman paused for a second and then replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell."

So St. Peter escorted her to the elevator and again she went down-down-down back to Hell.

When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks.

The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her.

"I don't understand," stammered the woman, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable."

The Devil looked at her smiled and told...

Slice the Bread when its Freshly Baked

War of the sexes... As we had some serious discussions in one of our previous posts about male chauvinists and female dominance. I felt this is a widely controversial area which wud rather have most masala compared to the existing topics of heated discussions. As of today, I see no point in looking back at yesterday. Because yesterday seems highly contradicting and impossible to believe. If I tell you women of the Indian Household were once not allowed to speak in the public and abandoned from talking to another man looking at his face into his eyes post their marriage - wud u even think bout convincing yourself on that fact!

As seemingly absurd it is, so much true also ! The irony behind this is that, when you look closer you would realise that probably things are upside down today. All men are tied down to cooking and cleaning and have no say against his lawfully wedded hubby. Anybody who opposes this are free to go to news stands and magazine stores and pick up a Anantha vikatan, kumutham, India today or Thina thanthi and digest this truth. Not a single magazine has ever missed passing a non chalant joke over Indian men facing the trauma of being kitchen grounded or wife's commandment. Well, ladies and gentlemen thats wat we are currently looking at... 'War of the sexes' where does the term originate and in what sense?

"War of the sexes" is a phrase in plain English, it's beyond guessing when and where it started. The actual war, that is, the conflict between sexual roles, began when the first caveman said, "No, I'm not going to start the fire. You know how to do it, and it's your turn." Or his mistress said, "You hungry, you cook!".. In a more modern context, it usually involves confrontation in the battle for women's rights, such as the right to vote, or wear pants, or receive equal pay.

Whenever these conflicts are to some degree settled, new ones begin, for genetic reasons will start a new combat in this never-ending conflict. Here are some very modern realizations which would probably inflict and pitch well on those male chauvinists who still think they are the main cause of 360 degree planet earth spin and every woman who boasts she is the prime center of this globe and that every man is of no good unless he bumps into the magical woman....

"What would men be without women? Scarce, sir .. mighty scarce." -- Mark Twain

"A woman may be able to change the world, but she will never be able to change a man." -- Amy Snowden

"Behind every successful man is a surprised woman." -- Maryon Pearson

"In politics, if you want anything said, ask a man; if you want anything done, ask a woman." -- Margaret Thatcher

"Men are like a deck of cards. You'll find the occasional king, but most are jacks." -- Laura Swenson

"Woman was God's second mistake." -- Friedrich Nietzsche

NOESIS

no·e·sis (n-ss)
n.
The cognitive process; cognition.

[Greek nosis, understanding, from noein, to perceive, from nous, mind.]

sounds intriguing isn't it? yep i too feel the same . i am still awe struck about this , so i decided to share my thoughts on this , noesis. Before i share my views i draw inspiration from the lost symbol regarding this topic and am forced not to share certain things regarding the book as it would be a spoiler for those who didnt read it.

Earlier I had written about the post , the power of mind , if anyone recalls , where i had discussed about positive thinking.this post can be considered as a refined version of 'the power of mind'.

man has managed to solve many puzzles regarding his evolution. He is scientifically advanced, but what he does in the process is to forget that everything which he is proving scientifically now has been told by the sages and scholars centuries back, in a language which the lay man can understand .

This is where religion and prayer, team work etc come into picture. We have heard of persons bending forks by continuously staring at them or some persons who heal the sick by placing their hands on them ,or of persons like lance armstrong who battled cancer successfully.it all deals with energy and its relation to thought.

Why do we say as the going get tough the tough get going. It all deals with energy that is generated because of out thought.

We say people fought cancer to be alive again. How is that possible? Its their thought their will to survive that has generated energy powerful enough to modify the orientation of diseased cells into normal ones.

We also would have heard of amirthanandamayi who blesses people by hugging them. its through the hug she transfers the positive energy.

People have totally mis-understood the concept of temples and prayer. why were they formulated?

Imagine if an individual by his thought can generate energy that can modify the cell orientation imagine masses coming together with same common and positive thought . how much effect and energy would that generate. The same goes with negative thought. But where does the concept of religion stand now? terrorism? religion is being used exactly the opposite of the very purpose for which it was created, generating negative energy in the form of terrorism.

One way of infusing negative energy in the body is what we call as BRAINWASHING:)

But using out thought to generate positive energy is easier said than done. It requires much effort . There comes meditation.thats the way people harness the power of thought.

Now an interesting question arises. If thought can generate energy that affects the physical world thought must be having mass. How do we prove it ?
"KELVI KEKAKURATHU EASY ANSWER SOLLURATHU THAAN KASHTAM"
If thought has mass thee the human mind(not the brain),the soul associated with it must have mass?
Time will provide answers.

there is a branch of science called noetic science which deals with all this .You can google for "intention experiment " and read about experiments conducted related to this field. The lost symbol has also referred this book.

After all this arises the mega question that has been haunting minds for years together,WHO OR WHAT IS GOD?

I say,God is the positive energy generated out of our thought , which makes things happen:)many people may be skeptical of what i say. many unanswerable questions will be popped up.all those questions will be answered during APOCALYPSE :)

Apocalypse-

meaning: Great or total devastation; doom. Even the bible speaks about apocalypse ,that we interpret as "END OF WORLD"

Apocalypse (Greek: Ἀποκάλυψις Apokálypsis; "lifting of the veil" or "revelation") is a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the majority of humankind. Today the term is often used to refer to the end of the world (or Armageddon), which may be a shortening of the phrase apokalupsis eschaton which literally means "revelation at the end of the æon, or age".-source wiki

So the root word of apocalypse means -unveiling or revelation:)

apocalypse is not the end of world but the day where all our ignorance will be shed , when humans will move from dark to light :)thats when all men will become gods or god like i.e the apotheosis of man:)

Apotheosis (from Greek ἀποθεόω, apotheoō "to deify", later the Italian gióvino, "to be made divine"[1]), refers to the exaltation of a subject to divine level.

p.s the things regarding apotheosis and apocalypse were the info which i got from lost symbol.

Sachin is misplaced

It was yet another terrible loss!! I am unlucky, I dint watch Sachin's awesome innings, and got this update on phone from Rogers who saw the match live!! What an honour, I seriously envy him. You go to watch an Indian match live and your super hero hits 150+ who will ever be so lucky!!

Ever since people started speaking that Sachin was not a match winner I used to jump about and fight telling he has done his duty by hitting so many runs where did your other hero's vanish when Sachin was putting so much effort. And that is a true fact, how many of us can really forget seeing Sachin crying so many times and breaking down so many times. He is simply a genius, but I feel he is totally misplaced. Hardly have people stood beside him and given the support that ought to be given by a team.

When a single player puts in so much effort and scores nearly half of the target, how the hell can he be blamed for not playing a match winning innings?? No way he is a reason for India losing. Where did the so called awesome batting of the prided No.1 Batsman Dhoni go??

Indian team is not worth Sachin...

Sorry Rogers I took the pleasure of starting this first, but please do update your experience :)

The incident that shook my life completely

Hello all...
I dunno whr to start this but i wan u all to b aware of this.
Its abt my dad....

There was this day when my mom n dad went happily to my neighbour's daughter's wedding reception and came back home at night. The next day was normal with my dad getting ready for the office n mom preparing b'fast n lunch for him... Jus then he complained of having ache in his shoulder. N as always he gave self explanation that y'day's dinner might have caused bit of gas problem.
He started walkin, but after taking few steps he was not able to walk further and thought of going back home ( the greatest mistake which he din make ), but his cab came so he went 2 office.
But after reaching the office, he was not able to do ath. So his manager compelled him to go to hospital, which i know he wudnt hav done if nt for his boss. ( Usual act of evry parent). So he called my mom to take his medical book n come 2 hospital.
( our town has only GH n no private hospitals) .
After a clear examination, my dad was made to admit and they said that it was a general check up. And till that time no doctor came to visit. My mom thought there was no necessary to call any1 for help. To say, she s a very bold woman. But at late afternoon, she called one of our close frnds jus for help.

In the mean time, they took, ecg and xray and scan for dad. He was ok by then. He went to bathrooms thrice walkin and then was relaxing. By evening, a doctor came to visit, he then told my mom to call some one for help. My mom was confused, but she did call the uncle. My dad again stood up to go to bathroom, jus then a nurse came rushin in and said him not to. And the doctor immediately gave reference to chennai appollo . It was evening by then. The uncle too came for rescue.

They set off in an ambulance. By dad was speaking normally and at night asked my mom n the uncle to go and have their dinner and then they proceeded. By the time they reached appollo it was 11. And dey took my dad in stretcher and when they called him for some question he was numb. They called his name repeatedly but no response.
The doctors immediately put some injection and gave shock treatment for quite some time before they came to know he was alive.
In the meanwhile, a doctor took my uncle out of earshot of my mom and asked him to arrange for an ambulance coz dey thought my dad won b alive and he cant b brought back to life again.
It was his first severe attack. To exactly say second, coz doc said he had a minor attack when in travel.
I dunno wat to say, if it is by means of God's grace , my dad made it.
Then the regular treatment and they did angioplasty ( they put a small stent inside the artery to let blood pass through ). And he was finally out of hospital after some 3 weeks and now he s leading a normal life.

Now let me list out the mistakes that happened during the procedure which resulted for his attack.

1. The doc in GH, they knew the variation in ECG but neva revealed it to my mom. If dey had done it, she wud hav taken him immediately to appollo and this wudnt hav become this complex.
2. when they identify such variation, the patient is not allowed to walk , coz it means he gives more pressure to his heart which risks his heart attack
3. The doc shud have given an injection immediately after identifying the variation in order to release the pressure in heart, which dey neva did in GH.

N not less my dad. He had BP and doc gave him tablets in which he happily left over a tab called 'ecosprin' 5 yrs back which is very necessary not for BP but for the heart. It is used to purify the blood coming to heart.

If any 1 had been correctly followed, now v won b in such a mentality of fear each and evry day. U dunno guys, each n evry day if my parents don pick up the phone the fear that sweeps through me is like . i dunno how to say. Even if i go home, if my dad fails to snore i wake up n look at him and in the morning if he wakes up late, i ll go n check in his room for his breath.

I neva intended to write this post, but the recent incident when one of my dad's collegue died . He was jus 39, leaving his 2 chilren, 1 s in 1st std n another in 7th. His wife was mentally affected coz of this. His youngest child was nt even aware dat his dad died and was playing in his funeral.

Now i wud like to take things seriously. Let me tel the symptoms of heart attack.
- It is not always necessayry to have a pain in heart
- He ll b suffering from fever and diarrhoea for 1 weeks time
- Pain in shoulders and spinal

N its growing enormously with the IT field with no physical work to do and stress at large amount. SO in case you find any person with these kind of symptoms, ask dem nt 2 b lethargic.

First marriage in my friends circle

Wow the most awaited weekend was showing itself up, but for the tons of office work to be done before leaving it was a brilliant beginning. Must say so much of work also gave it a good start :) I was planning to leave office by 9.30 to take my bus at 11! Yes that is how careful bangaloreans must be. And I was pushed to work till 9.27 as I wont be having any form of internet access over the weekend.

Kudos to irctc tatkal I had to book a sitting bus in last minute, which I thought would be a great spoiler, but I was blessed with a sound sleep that night to my own astonishment, yes I really slept in a sitting bus! First time ever in my life I suppose, thanks to Citrix for the heavy work :)

I was taking a bus to Madurai, which was 2 hours away from Dindukkal, I was off to the place which a partial reason for my name - My father was working in Madurai when I was born. I was born on Meena rasi too, so they decided to give me this name :) My cousin brother has currently positioned his tent in Madurai. We both expected me to reach the place by 9.30 or so, and to our shock and surprise I reached by 6.30 -> GOK how the KPN driver managed, thank God I slept off!

He had two kids[girls], was looking forward to have a great time with them as they already knew me very well as my brother stayed for nearly three years just next street to us. But alas they were sleeping when I went. Had dosa for a good change I was not the maker :P [I have started cooking and must say that it is not very tough :)] then those sweet buddies got up. It was really awesome to hear them call me "Athai", I have ever and will ever long for not having an athai :( Athai is father's sister. My father's side family is much restricted to my father and his own brother and my grandmother's own brother family. My grandfather used to say that his brother's and all were bad people so they used to stay away from them, whatever it was I dint have an athai to hear "அத்தை மடி மெத்தையடி ஆடி விளையாடம்மா" :(

Then I had a sound sleep :) then a heavy lunch. Then playing with those kids again :) Around 3.30 finally I decided to start and my brother dropped me at bust stand and I took a Govt bus, with seat near the door, wow I was very lucky.

The travel was unforgettable. "மண்வாசனை" was ever lingering with fresh rains having played with it and more joyfully willing to come. The path was so serene that I was feeling totally peaceful, no laptop, no shecheduled tasks, no coding, no accomplishment of targets. This was really beauty. Either side were hills and few more taller ones allowing them to be called small mountains. There were so many of them. The series went on and the final hill or mountain seem to be the sky itself. The blissful blue colour that they took gradually was a perfect match to the sky blue.

The mail glory creator was adding on to the ecstasy, the Sun, it luminously decorated the clouds. There was a stong beauty competiton between the sky, the sun, the hills/mountains and the clouds and finally putting myself as judge "together it was heaven :)".

Such a journey at this hectic period of life was an ice breaker. Surely it was a must and it proved to be much more worthful :)

At last I reached the place and was off to madapam, it really felt good to witness first marriage among our friends circle. There was Yaazh showing all sings of a girl ready for reception, she looked strikingly beautiful. And slowly everyone came and we had a great time together enjoying every moment of the ocassion, with so much of care given to us by Yaazh's parents. And the next day came with the marriage ceremony getting over -> there blossomed Mrs.Yaazhisai Parthiban, it is indeed a very significant day for her, the next afterwhich her entire lifestyle would change.

Then back to Madurai, enjoyment with my brother kids :)

Altogether the trip was simply awesome.

PS: You might have wondered why the whole post was full of text with no photos. This was a blow, last time when I went home I forgot to get back my camera :( But must say these images shall never leave my mind. Everything will ever stay captured there :)

Life is neva like wat v wan

Hi all...

Am peeping into the blog after a loooong time.. Don ask me y... :) .. Its a secret...
R v all content wid v hav now? I am nt. I din mean the money or d env v r in, but our life.
I dunno how many know this, I don like computers and this IT field . 'Completely sickening with a bunch of good for nth ppl sittin in front of comp, typing in endless lines' . this was d opinion i had when i was in school. Till 12th i neva worked in a comp ( To mention except in 7th n 8th where v had compulsary classes in school . I managed to score well B- :) ) . I neva attended math entrance class. Used to skip it always, say parents dat i hav other works sit n sleep in class.

But when d entrance results came, it was a major shock to the entire family. I din make up to any of the govt medical college missing it by points. May b fate was so.
First attack that changed my life completely.
Till date am cursing myself for not scoring well enough to get into medicine which i longed for from my childhood days. To say my father was the reason behind it. I disappointed him very much.

Next the hunt for engineering college. Myself and my father used to have heated discussion over which college to choose. I want to do electricals or electronics. I some how like the electrons and protons :) , may b my physics teacher played an imp role in it. Again, fate din play fair. Second attack. I din get in ECE or EEE in anna n PSG. So took IT in PSG.

Not a day passed without me mourning for wat position i was den. I neva get the code. Neva understood the greek and latin ppl used to teach in the name of programming language. Atlast somehow i passed in eth and got the degree in hand.

Now the job. Though i earn, this is not wat i want. This is not the life i expected and longed for. Simply to say there in no meaning for my life now. Even if i want 2 do highers, i simply cant. Coz d sub doesnt interest me.

Somehow i developed interest in drawing. But work n work n more work. U eventually forget eth else.

N there goes. Life continues like this foreva.

:)

When I born, I black

When I grow up, I black

When I go in Sun, I black

When I scared, I black

When I sick, I black

And when I die, I still black

And you white fellow

When you born, you pink

When you grow up, you white

When you go in sun, you red

When you cold, you blue

When you scared, you yellow

When you sick, you green

And when you die, you gray

And you calling me colored?

Go For It !

Economic Crisis.. Credit Crunch.. Global Recession.. GDP Decline.. Subprime Mortgage Crisis.. Deflation.. Financial pitfall.. Stock market plunge.. Worldwide Economic Depression.. Unemployment and Foreclosures........ All these terms are related to the current scenario the planet around us is facing. The general slowdown in economic activity and Production units measured by Employment, Investment Spending, Business Profits, Household Incomes all fall during this crisis.

Moment of truth and comedy behind tragedy being that we are also one of the victims. Losing jobs and Fighting for the next one is no different from our situation. Its just that we luckily have got the back seat in this roller coaster ride and suffer less compared to some of our friends who once thought that they were also in safe hands, but unexpectedly ended up waiting indefinitely for this storm to pass through, so that they can also achieve the plans they had walked in with into PSG Tech. Taking nothing away from this twisted scene, do you guys remember the hassle we all went through for our placements. The butterfly effect, nervous interviews, nailbiting final rounds.. Ellam irunthum jobs kidacha niraya peru innum waiting queue la infinite ah deadlock situation eppa mudiyum endru aavaludan kaathirukaanga.

We shld all be grateful to the supernatural forces that the company we've enrolled for is in a half decent state and we all have been taken on board. Atleast we guys were gifted enough to see that many companies and had the opportunity to walk in and walk out of that placement office with more or less good chances, but look at our predecessors... They have very limited options and more than manageable competition to get through. So I would cal myself and my clan of Freedom Writers LUCKY :D

So the ideal thing to do at this point of time is to gather vast experience with some good exposure in the journey and await the doors to open wide in a couple of years and pursue what we really wanted to or fascinated to. To start off life, this is not bad at all. So, however much you had to compromise, suffer, struggle and bare with the uncomfortable cumbersome experiences we might have to go through as part of this new job and tough sharpenings in the name of learning I would say pull yourself together to stay calm and composed. Tell yourself "Excellence is not a singular act, it is when you unrealizingly dedicate yourself to swim through the problems and break through the obstacles to reach the other end of the tunnel and look back in glory to tell yourself "..You deserve it and its only the beginning to many more of such mind blowing arduous adventures..." !

Rather than complaining about the problems surrounding the bee hive. We can look at it with some optimism ... "Nammala nambiyum inniku oru job and rewarding remuneration is waiting.. So we are worth something and we are destined to prove ourselves.." Lets take this up in defiance and nail each one of our difficult circumstances we face everyday as part of our job and raise to the occasion. After some retrospection I would assert that we repronounce the term "DIFFICULTY" as "CHALLENGE" in our dialect.

And also, taking this opportunity.. I would suggest all of us interact by exchanging some valuable information of what we do... Wat's the job nature and wat technology do we use to empower the project we are working on.! The kind of R&D involved in ur work and al the experimentations and learnings that came along. Above all, Who Am I - I aaaaam SpiderMan. Athu than illai, wat is ur designation exactly nu sollunga

Reincarnation - may be true !!!

Reincarnation is nothing but rebirth. But before going into my concept, I want to brief u about human development and variation based on chromosomes. Every human is made up of 23 pairs of chromosomes, that is 23 from father and 23 from mother. These 23 chromosomes are selected randomly from the father and mother. Even scientists couldn't determine the logic behind that.

A child born with 46 chromosomes is coming from 92 different chromosomes from father and mother. So, a father can produce C(46,23) - (combination) different sperm cells and similarly a female can produce C(46,23) different ovum cells. C(46,23) value is 8,233,430,727,600 (8.2 trillion approx).

Since a zygote is formed by the fusion of sperm and ova. The total possible outcomes are (square of 8.2 trillion). A couple can produce these many number of different children but not beyond that. Tis s answer for the question, why children born to same parents look different?

The human body is made up of proteins - body builders. the proteins are formed based on the chromosomal arrangement. It determines the shape of the nose, hair, internal organs, etc., so to be born again the same sequence has to reoccur. This is also the concept behind cloning (making a backup of yourself).

But it can also happen naturally, Our ancestors called that as reincarnation. The time of reincarnation is again unpredictable. It depends on the pair that fuses to form a new life. But after a very long period of time, the chromosomes will definitely repeat its sequence. But no one will know that they are born again. I am pretty much sure that our body would have already existed in this world.

In some Indian culture, people used to say that a person can have a total of 7 lives. It can also b true, as the time difference between two reincarnation is huge. May b t earth can get destroyed before the 8th cycle. can b 2012!!

If cloning is going to get authorized, then it will create drastic changes in the society. "Memory transfer + cloning" can create true replicas (both physical and mental).

Why Did I Fall in Love

No 9'o clock calls.. No weekend shopping... No expectations on valentine's day... No romantic dinners... No surprises... No anticipations on Birthday / Valentine gifts... No presumable ego.. No anticipation or anxiety on being passive.. Basically no pressure... "Kya love story yaar.. Band Bajgaya" endru ninaika vendam. Infact this is one of the most wonderful relationships i've ever encountered. If you have a partner qualifying all these parameters with contradicting equations then it means that u've actually found yourself a perfect match from Monster.com ;)

Every relationship has a scale of peak expectations which need to be fulfilled to avoid disaster recovery. The way this works is, when the relationship is fresh, bright and refreshing the levels of expectation is barely low because none of us want to take the other for granted or put too much pressure on the other. So there is a large buffer space that is shared... Leaving apart the philosophical end.. Lets get back to the story. A disco, A dare, A Pile On, A Post Pile On, A Touch, A Kiss, A Fresco, A New Year's Eve, A Party.. And all these between 2 very light hearted minds which find a great sense of common things alongside with barely any emotional atyachaar or any apprehension. Can you believe it, the coin has always been biased and the dice is always loaded. We always tend to build up or pile on unnecessary premonitions and make promises to ourselves in the name of love. One day, when these never-made promises dont materialize we start feeling insecure.

The moment the human mind gets insecure, it's pattern of behavior explodes so drastically that we make blunders which would seem stupid from one's own judgement 10 minutes later. So, coming back to the story... The 4th week... An Ambition, A Job, A Trip.... Whilst all this, they meet... Just to find out how nervous is the other one to declare what they had in their minds. Lets just pause here and go back to Laila Majnu, Heer Ranja, Romeo Juliet... All these love stories are built of emotions, strong bonds, passion, abiding trust... Well, all this is fit for tales and good for nothing today. Not for the Aam Janta - The Mango PPL.

BREAK UP !! Long distance Relationships dont work.. Relation wears out.. The bond fades out.. Calls unattended.. Mails not responded.. More pressure and more anguish.! We need to do it - YES BINGO !! Both of them in unison.. Here it goes - wht was it, fidgety 2 minutes. The cat was out of the bag and so was all the uneasiness and rigidity.. See, thats what good relationships are made of - being frank, forthright and blunt with no degree of artificiality in expressions or thoughts..

If it had been a harsh, hurtful, awkward breakup with polished statements and refined thought sharing, then the story wud have been "Mooooving on with life"..But surprisingly and excitingly both of them having shared wat was exactly what they wanted they get even more comfortable with each other.. But, eventually time and space separates them - not their minds.! Since cooexistence is imperative they tend to blend in with their present days and date different ppl. 1 gets all what he wanted in life - the perfect job, the beautiful life and plenty of money and the other - did wat all she was passionate about, exploring things and reinventing herself.

Shouldnt the story end here. They both have moved on and they have made complete individuals out of themselves... The beauty lies there, like all graphs they also have a down followed by an up.. Their lives slowly start to deteriorate. Life loses its color, the flavor and the essence. It becomes monotonous. They have everything but cumulatively nothing. All material things start to sulk and at one point of time they get lost and drowned.

Now, the question is why???????????????????? Show me what you've got guys.. Things are pretty evident. Not a single flaw so far, but why do they still feel incomplete and where has the drive in them gone?

The story ends with cheers and blushes.. A Happy Ending. But I shall reveal that once we fill the dotted line blank for the question above.

Princy & Tiara

Wat a beautiful sunday afternoon.. Actually the morning cud not be accounted for as i had not even realized it pass by :) Such a wonderful climate it was. All the scorching heat had vanished overnite. It was so damn bangalore in front of me eyes. It was revolting to accept as the past 57 sundays have all been merciless and i felt like i had vanquished all the tireness from the previous nite from watching F.r.i.e.n.d.s. for straight 6 hours till the morning 6am.

Then finally i decided, now since i got up so early in the morning - i shall take a stroll down my road and buy the groceries needed for munching thru the day... The weather was even more congenial and fascinating down the road. The very fact that i lived in a despairingly fiery hot city had evaporated out of my mind the moment i reached the end of the road. Cha... how very ephemeral human thoughts and impressions are. Thats y we are all subject to the common rule that TIME HEALS :> an indubitable fact. I dint feel like getting back in to the dungeon once all the merchandise was over - again indications of a very tranisent mind :> And so did i follow my lead to stay outside and just gaze the cows and dogs enjoying the lush of the "supposed to be green" grounds, which apparently was all dry, drought and barren due to the sultry summer for the past couple of months - see, not all objects of existence are as weak and volatile as the human mind :).. They dont change behavior as quick as we do... The landscape was still all dry inspite of the overnite change in weather.

It was 3.30pm in the noon and still astonished by the "beyond the imagination" atmospheric conditions we had no heart to sit inside an AC building or an aerified artificial ambience. So we quickly gobbled up the Cheese sticks and Spring fling we had ordered and we had walked right across the road to enter into Meera's office complex and marched rite into Costa coffee - for my all time favorite Hot Chocolate. I managed to talk the reluctant cashier into serving us both the hot chocolate at the courtyard rite outside their cafe. It was as windy as it was last winter out here and we couldnt have bargained for a better turf like meadow to spend the delightful evening.

Life's most lovely moments are not planned - they occur, you will never know till it eventualizes from the blues. There it was - no laptop, no movies, no novels, no romcoms, no sidcoms, no bowling, no snooker, no flirting, no beaming at gals, no theatres, no malls, no shopping and no fictitious phony stuff at all - me, meera, the lawn, the devoid office building, lots of greenery and star of the moment - The Cruising Breeze. I did what i was best at that very juncture - click, clack, cheese, close-up and capture.. yup snapshots of the divine moments is imperative, aint it.

Then i met not one, but 2 beings from the common race. Unnaipol, yenaipol, nammai pol oruvan, sorry iruvar - with just one sense less than us. But 1 shade ahead of us in dignity, loyalty and affection. They called them Princy and Tiara. How very adorable, charming and gorgeous they looked - The Labrador Retrievers as they call it. The Newfoundland dog breed is the most famous breed across the world and today they are more commonly known as Labradors. Me and my family have a very good attachment towards pet dogs and very compassionate towards them. Labs are very intellectual - as you all would have heard they are One Master Dogs, police dogs, trained ones and excellent drugs and bomb detectors. Princy and Tiara were simply superb. Princy was all active, fun-loving, mischevious, and playful. Whereas, Tiara was dull, sober, fearsome and subdued. Paavam, it shld ve been drilled harsh with strict punishments and disciplinary tasks. Had an amazing time with those 2 puppies. Handshake (actually its their leg and my hand.. so probably hand leg shake), fetch and throw, pushing me down, running through and out of my legs, jumping to my shoulder height, giving me cheek kisses and saying smileee to photos, brushing their fur and what not !!!

There it was, a befitting bottom-line to compliment an excellent evening.. coool

Oct 2 - .....

Hey Guys...
Oct 2.. Another holiday in our calender... Ppl working in software companies know nth other dan this n dey neva wan 2 know... Same with my case too.. A day 2 sleep :)

But lets make this day a bit informative...
Can u list out atleast a single event which happened in d same day? Any interesting news about Gandhiji which s not known?

WORDS OFTEN CONFUSED :)

unity , gethu, mass , rocks

These words are too vague yet seem to be too familiar.

Yeah we would have used them during our college days very often and mostimportantly heard them for the first time from our seniors. All these sound a bit lighter now:)

Well let me put an elementary school question to you all

MAKE SENTENCES WITH THE FOLLOWING WORDS

unity , gethu, mass , rocks

unity-pasangalam unity ah irukanum da

gethu-it na gethu

mass- it mass katanum da intrams la

rocks- zybernautz rocks

friends this is not a sycophancy

Many of us would have heard these sentences umpteen times either from our class mates or our seniors. Did any of us understand what it truly referred to ? The answer, is there were multiple interpretations to it.

Thanks to some X,Y,Z seriously I dunno who, our batch was christened 'ZYBERNAUTZ'
on the eve of chill out which was supposed to be a HOT COMPETITION

Coming back to the interpretations thing: i will give some of my predicted, which- were- interpretations.

1) IV ORGANIZE PANNA GETHU
2) ATHULA COMEDY AH ATTAM POTA ADHAVIDA GETHU
3) KOODA 4 peru vachu etho 3 conference , 2 event ,1 mock naduthina enna minchinavanga yaarum illa
the top most of all
4) TRAVEL AGENCY VACHU FRIENDS AH SORRY PARTNERS AH TOUR GUIDE
AAKURATHU

and finally

5)NAAN THAAN NU JORA AATAM PODURATHU, THAAN KEDURATHUM ILLAMAL
MATHAVANAUM SENTHU KEDUKURATHU

We have been true to our name ZYBERNAUGHTS , oops , 0-0 , sorry,ZYBERNAUTZ. Pardon me am a poor typist and tend to do a lot of mistakes.

No one should feel for what we have been in our college. In fact we must be proud for the fact that Indians invented the ZERO and we have upheld our tradition and heritage.

We were like the Indian cricket team , individual achievements were great , each one had tremendous talent but as a team we achieved was less than nano:)

We are an excellent example of the proverb "A bad apple is enough to spoil the remaining ones". This might not go well with many but directly or indirectly bad apple had atleast minimal influence on all of us as a result of which we lost many, not too mention some of the dept staff who were even not spared the apple :)

I still remember the endless tirades we had at the hostel during the seventh sem , all fun :)

Me and senthil would specially consider the seventh semester as gift after spending three years in dark murky waters waiting for a release :)

All the travellers, travel agents and apples would have joined their respective companies i guess.

The guys in our batch never knew and will never know how it is to perfom at the qangle. I mentioned guys only :) They would never have a chance to experience the joy we felt when our close friends got into dual companies , atleast we did thank god :) The will never know how it feels to help a person when he really wants it :) we have experienced it all and there is and will be no substitute for that :)

He he I have peppered the previous para with smilies, which shows how i feel :) even as i type this line in my office i am grinning sheepishly thinking about our college :) and hostel :) and the funny drama at chill -out which was snubbed as whats funny abt the drama ,by the jury :)

Guys dont think that am writing blogs in office becoz i dont have work. I, do, but the joy of sharing things with our small circle of trusted friends, many of whom are already absconding, is something that cant be expressed. So guys please contribute to the blog regularly and make our blog going great guns :)

Like The Flowing River

Be like the flowing river
Silent in the night
Be not afraid of the dark
If there are stars in the sky reflect them back
If there are clouds in the sky
Remember clouds,like river, are water
So gladly reflect them too
In your own tranquil depths
-Manuel Bandeira

I am currently reading a book by paulo coelho, which has the same title as this post. I just wanted to share with you some excerpts from this book, which i like the most. For persons who wonder who paul coelho is , he is the author of the book Alchemist , a bestseller.
THINGS TO BE LEARNT FROM A PENCIL
1) Your are capable of great things but you must not forget there is a hand guiding you. That hand is God
2)The pencil has to be sharpened now and then .This makes the pencil suffer a little but it is sharper then and writes better. So you must learn to bear pains and sorrows which will make us a better human.
3)Pencil allows to corrects its mistakes with an eraser. Similary correcting what we did is not BAD THING it helps us to keep us on the road to justice.,
4)What really matters in the pencil is the graphite not the wooden exterior. So pay attention to what is happening inside you.
5)Pencil always leaves a mark. So you should leave a mark in life through your actions. Be conscious of that in whatever you do

The Moment of dawn

A priest gathered his students together and asked them how do we know the exact moment the night ends and the day begins.
when light is enough to distinguish a sheep from a dog said a boy
when light is enough to differentiate between a fig and olive tree.
rabbi said not thats not the right one
the boys asked thn what is the right answer
WHEN A STRANGER APPROACHES AND WE THINK HE IS OUR BROTHER AND ALL THE CONFLICTS DISAPPEAR THATS THE MOMENT WHEN NIGHT ENDS AND DAY BEGINS

The book is absolutely fantastic and inspirational, guys if you find a chance read it :)
