FICKLE MINDED INDIANS

India has posted a shock exit from the super 8 thanks to some amazing tactics by MSD. Almost all the news channels, news papers and the critics have been discussing this for the past two days. Fine team India has achieved a lot and this exit is just another failure as every team would have.

The matter of concern is not India's exit from the world cup but its the nature of we 'Indians'. When India does not perform in cricket , the effigies of cricketers are burnt , protests made and their houses stoned by the masses, why Indian team has failed to expect the peoples expectations. But,why don people dont react when it comes to politics. The politicians are elected by the people, they use our money for their protection, comfort etc and yet nothing effictive is done, and people still remain dumb spectators to all the fiasco going on.

Such is the fickle nature of the Indian masses who tend to vote for a person who says that she knows 3 languages ans hence people should vote for her(A south Indian actress), and uneducated people become politicians.

As long as Indians are insensitive to what that happens around them the corruption, extortion, etc etc will continue and India will remain a third world country forever. There is no point in cleaning Indian cricket when India itself is in a sorry state.

  1. Well said Rogers, if only people have a live telecasted view of what is actually happening with our politicians they will atleast consider protesting against it rather than protesting that Indian team all of a sudden became worthless :)

  2. Jeff.. U cant totally blame people.. Politics is different from Cricket.. Ordinary people hav no power to rise against the politicians.. The affluent people indeed need their support for their ventures.. So no one can go against them.. except for few young Indian blood like u.. who can only pour t feelings out.. Cricket is not like that.. Cricketers will always remain dumb.. even if u throw stones on them.. they cant do anything against people unlike Politicians, who has the power 2 do evrything in this country.. u shud know the normal human tendency.."we would do all sort of nonsense in senthilnathan(DSS) sir's class, but not in Ramki sir's class.."

think from ramkis point of view . he is strict so we dont do anything in the class while it is the otherway around. The same applies to us. If we r correct enough and excercise our freedom of vote correctly why would the politicians make mistakes. Since we dont respond to the atrocities, like u say the cricketers are doing, then we would still remain like this as dummies

  4. Rogers.. U said that "ramki sir s strict.. so we don do anything in t class.." v also cant do anything.. if he put arrears to a person he doesnt like.. if he scolds someone unnecessarily.. Becoz.. v dont wan 2 b his victim.. The same happens in politics.. Compare ramki with bad politicians.. students are the people..

U cant jus like dat sweep off all d atrocities caused by a politician. jus think how many ppl ll come behind u if u start 2 oppose a politician...
ppl fear life ( u as well as me )...
v hav no real power or control over dem 2 knock dem off...
but in cricket its diff.. no 1 s gonna harm d ppl... v must understand d diff...
if u really wan 2 make some diff u must become a politician.. but even den u cant say u can achieve all dat u wan... ppl der ll make u a handicap...

who said we dont have the power. we just dont realize that. We the educated people donot exercise our right to vote properly and the uneducated people just vote blindly. This makes the difference.I am ready to become a politician but how may of u will support me. Why take the pain and risk is the attitude of almost all thats why there are low turn outs at elections. Only when the turn out is atleast 90 % a true judgement can be made

  11. okie everyone says that we cant withstand the pressure given by politicians. Let me give u an apt example . Think of our chief minister . He came to chennai without even taking ticket in a train and now..... If he had thought that he hasd nothing with him and could not enter into politics nothing would have happened. Did he haw the people support at that time or the rowdys as you say....
Ya why did the iit students fail. Its because of the people and not because of their inability. The people could not contemplate the fact that these students were into politics. As long as we remain as it is to the atrocities going there is no use in blaming the government for its ineffectiveness.

  12. Bfore citing Mr.M.K. U shud know abt him.. Our present cm is noted for his ridiculous comments. He s a hard-core liar. He became the party leader only because of his crookedness not by his good deeds. Evry1 knows how he attained this position by flinging other leaders of that party. Being the savior of Nepotism, he s really a vry bad example to cite in here.

And i wanna make one thing clear tat V r nt blaming the govt for its ineffectiveness, v r tryin 2 convey how difficult for an ordinary man to contest and win an election at the current situation. Decades back, Politicians fooled people to gain vote. But, now they are buying votes (people). Politics is no longer a service, it became business. So to be a politician, u need to be a cunning multi billionare.

And finally people like us cant do anything under this so called people rule. I am not a pessimist. But u shud accept this painful truth.

i agree with u da. i am saying if people at that thime were aware abt mr Mk he would not have become the cm now. If people are aware abt whats goin on they would have voted for the iit guys:) i blame it on the people who dont go to vote and the masses who vote without aby reason :)

  16. Jeff.. t most vital part of politics is to pool in people. u know this vry well.. as a PR of our class.. U know how difficult is to merge a class of just 60-odd people.. I wonder.. how u expect t whole nation (a billion people) to focus on few politicians u mentioned above.. and more over the election itself s not authentic at many places.. evn if the people vote to t right person.. the fraudulent candidate triumphs..

  18. Before just blaming so called "people" lets realise this fact that we are also one among that lot. Not just politics India is lagging behing in everything only because of our carelessness.

    Simple issues:

How many of us[we friends] do not throw garbage on the road? Oru comment adichutu vera thooki poduvom, ithana per poturukangale namma pottu azhukkaga poguda!!

Society starts at individual person... moves on to a family... then to a small group... to district... and so on to a NATION.

Lets first correct ourself and point to others. I admit I dint vote in this election, my name is not there in electoral list, I have made it a point to apply at the very next time they let me to. How many of us voted this election? How many of us dint go even with names on the electoral list?

The next thing that will come to your mind is to write a reply comment telling that I am a sincere sikamani... This is not sincerity but this is basic discipline...

How many of us have it??[I dont claim I have the best, but I am learning and teaching atleast to my near and dear ones]

If Rahul Gandhi why not Rogers?? I shall support you by all possible means with full happiness :)

  21. @Hari discipline can be achieved without rules if we make people realise. I am asking for us to change first in this respect and teach our relatives, friends and make them realise it and ask them to teach to their dear ones... after all society is a group of people and country is a group of socities... Surely we can do this...

  22. @M: In the current competitive world.. No one has time 2 just look after themselves.. I m talkin abt t majority of people.. So how wud u expect them to spend time in teaching disciplines to their neighbors.. even if someone does it.. the neighbor wud thrash him away.. "un velaia matum nee paru !!!" :( vry bad rite?? These discussions will not dampen.. So, Lets gve a FULL STOP to tis topic..

  23. Hope is everything in life Hari, you hope your day goes smooth and fine when you start, you hope you will be able to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner with pleasure. Not many normal people hope negative things. So there is nothing wrong in just spending some of our precious time for the betterment of ourselves[the society, they country]. Hours and hours of time go waste in our life, we can pretty well spend few min making ourselves first understand and then going about explaining it to people. There cannot be a fullstop for this unless the society becomes devoid of real PEOPLE. Betterment is a process that never reaches an end unless it is the end of ourselves. So its our choice now whether to live just as everyone/everything or to form ethics and morals for ourselves and live upto it.

I dont want an argument to grow up here, so this shall be my last comment over this[though not my last action, that shall survive as long as I do]. This is my point of view... My way ahead is clear for me.

  24. @M: I m not talkin about you or me..tats y.. I specially mentioned "majority of people" in my earlier comment.. I didnt ask u to terminate ur social service.. Ur comments seems 2 b only 4m ur point of view.. i m talkin 4m people's point of view.. t whole.. If u think u can change evry1. then do it.. soon u will realize my words.. if u r really goin 2 teach discipline to other people..
