So bring it on ppl. fire me some good sites and blogs that we guys should NOT MISS

Look Inside the Box to Think Out of It

Guys what do you think. Those closely associated to me know that i am the creator of these masterpieces. Most of them i made during my learning phase.. I drew this in here bcuz our site needs more color to it and why go elsewhere when my work is not half bad ;)

All of 'em are Tanjore paintings which i do during my leisure time. For auspicious sake Lord Ganesha's picture at the first.

Enough of jokes endru curse pana vendam. All the above Tanjore painting's have been drawn, painted and gem-stuck by my Mom. She is amazing in this, a perfectionist. She is nowhere close to even being called a maestro. Athayum thaandi sema pistu. More to her stride: Glass painting, cross stitch, fur dolls, oil painting, sketching, embroidery endru panatha art-work kidayathu. She is a professional artist. Had coached 500 ppl when we my dad was practising his initial years of medicine in madurai.

Ithula yenoda contribution um undu mates. Infact behind every monument there is a chai wala who has given an inevitable support in building it. Dont ask how, u know the answer to it. Similarly, my take to all my mom's above portrayed work is that > There was a lil boy doing his 3rd std studying at Jeevan.. coming back from school all hungry, switching on the tv and sit cms away to watch cricket, and munch some snack while doing it with a bottle of horlicks next to him just for finger lickin good concept.. and inbetween all this.. hopping around a hall and house full of painting materials and boards and brushes and paint bottles and water buckets and cleaning cloth and gem stones and above all 200 ppl in number seated around the house:) what a conducive and colorful environment to live in. Ivunga ellarukum boss thaan supply manager. Whatever they ask for, i will move swiftly around the crowded place (no space to walk) and get it for them... Thru this i learnt all size and patterns of paint brushes, so many different shades of paints and brands, all different kinds of stones and pencils and boards they used..

phew.. that was one hectic job.. Evlo pannitom ithayum paniduvome nu panen.. vera ethuvum illai :) But yes at the end of the day when a painting like one of those exhibited above comes out, i couldnt have been more delighted as i am one of its co-producers .., HOWSZZZZAT ;) I am so proud of u mom (and ofcourse myself as well)........

Awesome !!!

In a Chinese modern dance competition on TV one very unique
couple won one of the top prizes. The lady, in her 30's, was a
dancer who had trained since she was a little girl. Later in life, she
lost her entire left arm in an accident and fell into a state of
depression for a few years.

Someone then asked her to coach a Children's dancing
group. From that point on, she realized that she could not forget
dancing. She still loved to dance and wanted to dance again. So, she
started to do some of her old routines, but, having lost her arm, she
had also lost her balance.

It took a while before she could even make simple turns and
spins without falling. Then she heard of a man in his 20s who had
lost a leg in an accident. He had also fallen into the usual
denial, depression and anger type of emotional roller coaster. But,
she was determined to find him and persuade him to dance with her..
He had never danced, and to dance with one leg....are you joking
with me?? "No way!"

But, she didn't give up, and he reluctantly agreed
thinking, "I have nothing else to do anyway." She started to teach him
dancing. The two broke up a few times because he had no concept of using
muscle, how to control his body, and knew none of the basic things
About dancing. When she became frustrated and lost patience with
him, he would walk out. Eventually, they came back together and
started training seriously.

They hired a choreographer to design routines for them. She
would fly high (held by him) with both arms (a sleeve for an arm)
flying in the air. He could bend horizontally supported by one leg
with her leaning on him, etc.

In the competition, as you will see, they dance beautifully
and they legitimately won the competition.

Every Season has a Reason

Huhh.. can u believe it.. There is nothing as easy as writing the own story in which you were a part of. Its nothing but a conversation and no imagination. So pouring such fluidy liquids out of the heart is so simple, compared to the innovation and intellectual stuff that the mind throws. Cool.

So wat is this season that the author is referring here to @#(&#_!@ That was not greek or latin. It is just that i cursed all those cursed souls which were a hurdle to all what jeffrey tried to accomplish. To those who re not aware of who jeffrey is... one word -> PSG's Koorathalwar for the yr 2009 ;).. kiddin maan. i want u to get over it and look back at it like a practical joke. No offence. So this poor chap as he explained in his previous blog did go thru a lot of crap and henceforth the appraisal he gets from all of us. As i said in one of my comments, it requires the extra bit in every individual to be able to see a pinch of success in every failure. That is the secret to the success of any flourishing person today.

So lets get to where we had left it "The sequel to jeff's Placement Time".. What made this a very special season was that; like in all fairy tales the bad forces had to give in to the good ones and the pathway was built in such a way that there was no other option than to be conducive and cooperative. However big or small u re, when it comes to securing urself NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. That's what made all difference in opinion vanish or rather put away for the time being.

Patience is virtue endru solluvargal.. That was the realization that occured to me. I went thru a lot of shit and finally i was there.. and so was my buddy jeffrey. Infact the placement journey "utna aasan nahi".. agar hum lok bahut majaa aaya.. kyun ki, both me and jeff love acting under pressure. As that is when we are on our toes and the true inner sense comes out in sparkling glow. We guys did justice to the job and to our souls as well.. Why i say this, bcuz its the enormous amount of delight that ur mind goes thru when u had been undermined for ages and finally ppl look back at u awestruck. Some ppl always see, its tough to supress passion and talent. I do believe that :)

"With power comes responsibility". Noot like the Tourism corporation that our class runs, where the tagline is "With money, comes alcohol".. I wish there were more ppl who did behave like humans than uncivilized beasts in our sodality. U guys wudnt believe the underlying felicity in this. During that Drab PR selection meeting that occured. I wanted to volunteer inspite of being an underdog in the crowd. But the wee bit of dignity left in my mind said "Wait man, ur time will come.. Now is not then".. So i did not open my mouth when the mastermind tourism bus cleaners were deciding the strategy of how all the other selfish half-wits could get placed. Then as jeffrey said, the ministers of parliment nominated the poor jeffrey only in the sole thought of ravening him and saving their own arses.

Jeffrey struggled and strained in an ungratified manner to bring in an attitude level change on the clubhouse. There were many infertile efforts down the line. First he joined hands with Dinesh, who unluckily was a classmate with us only till that semester. Things went haywire even while he was around. Nothing sparked. Dinesh was then off pitch and off the picture as well. Then after many firm stances from the 'I-never-will-come-forward' group, satheesaran - the leading player in that team was nominated to assist jeffrey. There was too much of friction and thing hardly kicked off. Jeffrey meanwhile went thru a lot of agony handling things all alone. I couldnt have sympathized him more. It was then when i realized that this harmless benign soul had gone through too much. It was high time i helped him bring things under control. I offered a helping and literally vowed that i will stand beside him on any circumstance. Jeffrey embraced the occasion and we joined hands together as captain and sailor - one and the same :)

One thing that we both concurred on was that, lets leave these bunch of jugheads live life in their own terms and there aint much we can do to change things around there. It will take time for the toll to levy its impact on all the ignorant guys. But eventually they all have to turn up to the authorities - us :) TO BE CONTINUED ......

PLACEMENT TIME...

Sitting in my house ,my mind drifts to the days when our career was decided. Placement time. Being the P.R along with senthil ,the special moments during the past one and a half years flash through my mind. let me begin the story......

I becoming the p.r was due to the generosity of my class mates(guys) who wanted to devote time to themselves and for their cat and gre preparation (mostly futile attempts) not considering that I would also have some aspirations if not to the extent of theirs. it began one night where the guys were planning for a trip to some place ,as our department was the tour agent for the whole college. It was during the mid of fifth semester and none of the guys had realizedthe gtravity of the situation that recession had afflicted many companies and that opportunities were hard to come by.

Every one was palying the pointing game suggesting the other persons name for THE JOB.Finally as it goes , I in interest of the class took up the job,as a challenge to prove to these guys ,inspite of my work i could get a better company than them. This was in stark contrast to the other classes where there was so much competition for the p.r job.

I, then knew that the path had been set for me where i would have to make a lot of sacrifices.Still I needed a helping hand ,but I did not want to entrust any responsibilities to the very guys who shunned the ultimate responsibility .Many lunchless afternoons, sleepless nights followed.

To add insult to injury many futile placement meetings at the hostel, many an attempt to make the guys study ,all the warnings abt the preparation of the cse guys and the limited opportunities were scoffed at by one FINE GENTLEMAN , as you all know.

There was a plan which went totally awry! the toppers where to help the weak guys during the fifth sem leave and this prep was to last a week. The irony is that none of the guys other than me stayed in the hoste. The hostel wore a deserted look with the fourth floor of g3 block having one lone occupant for 2 weeks. This also marked my one year 2 month exile fom my native place.Despite the fact that no one was in the hostel i managed to engage myself with certain other works in the college , sometime till four in the morning.

As I trudged wearily from the college towards the hostel in the wee hours , i would think about the refusal of the guys which would make my rsolve een firmer .Two weeks of monotony and exhaustion had its toll on me with a few gray hair springing up.This is the time when i got in to the bad habit of sleeping late ,for which I still feel now.

College reopened, more placement meetings, more futile attempts to make the class study and in addition to that my never ending workload and skipped breakfasts, lunches and sleep all transformed me into a person weak by appearance but with a further stronger intention to prove all the guys wrong. As senthil once commented in this blog about me as a skinny lizard like stature (periya's post friends forever ), so i became THE LIZARD.

The sixth sem was lightning quick ,only did all guys realize that time was too short to prepare for the placements. It was time that someone helped me as the job was overwhelming. Then came satheesaran who reluctantly helped me , his lack of interest and fear of underpreparation made him to quit the job.
Then I turned to my old aide senthil, who was too willing to take the job.Only then i realized that he was much fitter fo the job than me. April over.. May started...It was time to face the epicenter of politics in our college ,THE PLACEMENT CELL.

Our(me and senthil's) excursions to placement cell are moments to savour. Getting up by 7, breakfast at famous cafe going to the cell at 8 and sitting ther doing nothing. We were burning our time for the sake of the class , not to mention many ugrateful wretches who still wasted their time and spoiled the study of others also. Lunch was also at famous cafe, not even annalakshmi .Even the frugal meals we ate were to be accounted for.

Attempts were made to arrange classes durin the sem hols ,which all ended up as mega flops:) ,one of my greatest achievements. The next was the collection of money for placements. Once again the barest minimum of 1000 was collected of which almost 3/4 of the money was spent on file,dd to placement cell, xerox blah blah. With the remaining amount we were to manage our food, trips to off campus interviews and what not,for which the accounts were asked by ,"THE MANAGER OF JP MORGAN &CHASE BANK" which financed our vemtures. Pardon the pun here. Only if they knew that the other depts on an average had collected atleast 2000 inr per head, thy would no have asked.God save those poor souls & pardon their ignorance !!!

I the meantime periya was elected as the p.r ,a welcome sign that the girls were atleast into someting , if am not wrong in this context.I dunno how she managed abt but her help was great.

THE D-DAy
TCS , the savior , the ultimate hope for 70% of the class was to come on one fine friday. Many attempts were made to get tcs questions from other colleges last minute cramming ups and wht not. Not only I.T the whole college was undergoing this regeime.Written test- a great debate arose that the toppers should not write tcs written for themselves. Much resistance was expected from the girls side but the twist was , it came from the boys. Plans were made as to who should be seated beside whom.

The persons who scoffed at me during the meetings came to us saying that they knew nothing technical and requested me to put them in a h.r panel. I thought how these persons are, ready t sacrifice their pride easily if they need to accomplish a task.Senthil refused to hear them, but i considered their request, a decision I wuld regret later. Request is a more honourable and flowery way of expressing what they said.

After much melodrama the tcs written test began in the cc lab, with few helping hands from the boys and much from the girls. The end of the written test was marked by many happy faces some releived and some faces with tears.

INTERVIEW DAY
Interview day dawned for us at the palcement cell with me and senthil alone(no one to help) occupying places outside the panels at 7 in the morning. Not a single drop of water had reached our stomachs which had started to growl with hunger bu then. We were also surpisedto find almost 20-30 cse guys occupying the panels most of them where chased away later to make way for p.r. See the difference between I.T & C.S.E. This difference became much obvious in placements also.

I.T slot was in the noon . With much dificulty and co-ordination with the other p.rs we were able to figure out the type of the panels for most of the panels. Then came I.t with me and senthil co-ordinating with the sandwich pc's to make our guys feel comfortable with their panels. evn we wer forced to switch panels and resumes from one panel to another after the resumes had reached the interviewer.Panel switching took place as fast as context switiching witin seconds. Additional effort was required to thwart the attempts of the cse guys to barge in before the i.t guys.

Interview was over for i.t but no time to relax. payback time helping the other p.rs to safely seat their guy, return for the help done by them.

TCS interview over. Many anxious persons left the j block. Dinner for h.r ,served by p.rs.
Time 11.30 : an entire contigent of tired p.rs and helpers rushed in to fill their stomachs with what was left over. For me and senthil it was the first of anything to enter our mouths. First morsel of food at 11.30 , standing and waking for more than 10 hours continuously. Wow I have put my ncc training to good use.
12-30 shifting thing to placement cell despite tiredness.
1-3.30 am waiting for tcs result in plcement cell
4.00 am returning to hostel with the news that result was to be announced the next day.

SUNDAY 9.00 am -3.30 pm waiting for tcs result n college amidst anxious phone calls and false alams that the result had been released.3.30 tcs selcted list announced. Before we could note down the names and convey the info to girls certain kind hearted philanthropists through phone informed the result to the girls.argument ensued between me and periya regarding the timely informing of result only to be solved by senthil's intervention .
TCS Count not upto the mark. Still a long way to go.
I end this post fo now promising to follow it up with a sequel. If u have some memories regarding placements u can please feel free to share them.

A Quick Question

Hi Ppl.. we are in need of a group to communicate and colloborate. Its time we had one as we need to provide a mode of contact within us and from the outside as well. This will be basically for any internal communication, mails, fun and frolic. But yes we do need one for those ppl who really wanna prove a point and give the impression that, although what we were in college was rueful but we do want to give something back to the society we were groomed.

So let me pop the question for this next step.. Which would be more comfy for u guys or rather which do you vote for

1. Google Groups
2. Yahoo Groups
3. Others - please mention

Happy Batch Day

Seriously i don get any words to write here.... still feel like writin sumthing on this day... I wish for a rewind button where v can start from de day 1....

Four years ago, on this day, we stepped into a new world known as PSG tech little knowing what was ahead of us. We were welcomed by a greater speaker( forgot his name :P) but was a great speech to begin the college life.

Four years on, things has changed a lot. From being immature to mature; from being irresponsible to responsible; from difficult to understand to understanding and so on.

There was times when we used to spend hours and hours chatting/SMSing/talking with friends.

People used to pick up the call before even the first ring completes, reply back to the SMS as soon as it is in the inbox, reply back to the ping as soon as you hear the sound. There were days when we used to chat with a person who was sitting two or three benches way.

But once after the college, we have become so busy that we do not have time for all these things. When you call a friend, we are greeted by his/her voice, but a recorded one stating that he/she is not available to pick the call, please leave a message! or no response at all. People have become busy and they have got different priorities. And after that comes a time when you finally call after a long time and you realize that you have nothing at all to talk! People just keep asking "what else"...”aparam" and so on! The same case goes with chat/pings. People are held up and find no time to reply and once they find time to reply, they have nothing to chat about!

We were living on SMS in college. Forwards, late night kadalai etc... The number of words per min was something close to 100 (my guess) but now i think it has reduced to say 20 words per min. I am not even using SMS now!

Apart from the priorities, people are spread out - far and wide and there are changes to life around them.

But i sincerely hope that when i meet my friends personally, for the old times sake, talk a lot and keep in touch going forward.

Cheers !!!!

P.S: paadhi suttadhu.... english marandhu pochu :P

PATHS OF GLORY

the boast of heraldry, the pomp of pow'r
And all that beauty and all that wealth e'er gave
Awaits alike th' inevitable hour
The paths of glory lead but to the grave

Thomas Gray

This is from the recent novel paths of glory by Jeffrey archer. The novel is based on the life of george leigh mallory :) a mountain climber. The mountaineering fraternity is divided as who reached the top of everest , whether it was george mallory or hillary. I dont want to spoil the thrill of reading the book by revealing the storyline . Hence i quote archer himself towards the end of this post:

"Some people have dreams so outrageous that if they were to achieve them their place in history would be guarenteed. B ut what if one man had such a dream and when he'd fulfilled it, there was no proof that he had achieved his ambition?

Paths of Glory is the stiry of such man. But not until u have turned the last page of the novel will u be able to decide if george mallory shouold be added to the list of legends, because if he were, another name would have to be removed"

Happy reading friends!! Let goddess chomolungma bless you :)

Fun Time Cheating...

I cant write sth which is very serious and emotional. So I jus wan us all 2 relish the moments in college. And I know no 1 wud eva wan 2 miss such opportunity. So lets make this very lively.

So did u all make up wat this post is abt from the topic? Gues u wud hav..

Cheating is a very fav word in our college days.. cheating in classroom .. in hostel.. escaping from warden after doin a major damage… cheating in exam hall… ( which v can neva get again )
Each 1 of us wud hav cheated 1 or the other in some days of our col life. N if it’s a staff v wud hav done it wid much more enthu and satisfaction.. After all dey r our all time and most dangerous enemies of those days…
I have many such experiences.. very funny and very pathetic too ( n I had laughed thinking abt it quiet many a times )
Lets hear abt others cheating time…

Note : AM not including good ppl like meena, jeff, karthi ( padipu palangal )

My First Real Crush

I dont know why we have not spun around this topic yet. It really stuns me.. After all we are bright energetic young future of india. When then, if not now.. hmm :) So let me be the icebreaker. should it always be about ppl around us, why not within us this time. Antha oru desperation la thaan this effort. So each of u take a trip down memory lane and reveal ur angels-flying story of ur first crush..

I dont have to go big about this, as all of u mates wud ve crossed / crossing this stage in life where u have the butterflies, the angels and the non-stop fluttering of birds around u... It is a very special feeling and pretty natural though, as each of us are bound to the atrraction towards the opposite sex. And wats so special about it is not all the cliches we hear ("you feel like u 2 are the only ones in this planet..bla bla").. But truely, frankly and bluntly this infatuation that ur heart ponders on, is a new chemical reaction within. The catalyst is the gal / guy and the end reaction is u maturing out of it. But in between this, the mind is blown high up the sky and u really get to invent the real u. And the funny thing about first crushes is that, 99% of them end up being either undeclared or unreciprocated...

But the interesting part is not all that. There are several phases to this.. First phase being, having the guts to get to interact with the alleged culprit.. This is the biggest step according to me.. When u cross this it's like u re on the cruise nd u ve all the voyage to ur disposal. Most often than not, all guys fail at this stage of the scene itself. The 2nd phase is to become a good observer and a very good articulator.. And this is where u get to establish ur flag on the foreign land.. When u become great buddies with him / her, its like u ve almost made a homerun. U have a lot of fun and frolic at this point where u know u re at a safe place on the cliff... But the twist comes here... There is a thin line of difference between being a hero and being the hero's friend. The hero is a person who induces as much as the same attraction and attention he encounters from his / her crush. And the hero's friend is good, sweet and caring but not as mind-blowing as the hero. So 9/10 ships tat cross this stage will tend to self-destruct at the bottleneck.

Ppl wld have difficulties in figuring out if this gal / guy is of their nature.. but it would become pretty evident at stage 3, whether or not you would score and if the crush is into u .. In such cases going for that No-Ball Sixer expectation is imprudent.. unless and otherwise u re Cupid - Roman god of love and beauty.

Coincidences

Had put a long irrelevant comment in the previous post... so to give this a due respect writing a post...

Coincidence makes life so beautiful :) I have had many of them in my life... To start with I will write about coincidence between me and one of our blog co-auth's

Me and Karthi,

Both born in may 88...
Same batch in counselling and she had come to cbe for it instead of madras :) so we met there itself...
School second in twelfth:: both 1164 :)
First in first sem :)
First in last sem too :) 9.46 is both of our cg... :) This was the most awesome coincidence I feel, 12th atleast was ok, getting same cgpa[not even gpa] was something great :)
First company CTS... Dual though different our packages was same :)
We share this unique bond... more than all this our character matches so well... she is also very service minded...
Thanks to God for making each other meet and become so close :)

Subha, my sweet pal from childhood... we were born on the same day! Went to the same school since preKG :) so much we have had in common..

Meera one of my close friends ever... we met in hindi classes... we dint know for long that we were born on the same day :) It was an awesome feeling when we found that out...

All three of us will surely talk to each other together on bday's every year :)

This much I remember with friends... now off to my life partner...
I have never seen kushi movie but many have told about it to me... coz... here it goes...

Both of us were born in the same hospital[Chamundeeshwari nursing home, cbe]... my brother was born there too, but his sister was born in a different hospital :)
He was born on 19th and me 13th which gives a difference of 6...
He was born on ward number 5 and I ward number 11 which again is 6 more... :)
He proposed on 6th :) I accepted on 21st... 21-6 gives 15 which when added gives a 6 again :)
Of course studies wise he was always ahead of me...

Guys share the coincidences in your life too... it will be fun to read and know them...

Wild Guess God Bless

Lets all take a shot. A long yard....... The first one is always the favorite one, and i promise each one of u re closely involved with the characters depicted in the below vignette of our dear most faculties.. yeah chums, lets take them for a ride

1. A mere Aayama.. who never really was meant to be a human species!! but we all know, even god is bound to slip at times.. instead of plunging her into the sets of King Kong 2, he sent her instead to PSG to make the lives of poor just-passed-out-of-school kids. There is a proverb and a very influential thought, teachers are supposed to make children feel that they are not far from home. Every teacher should possess a sweet nature, welcoming personality and above all a pleasant look on the face that should make children feel that they are in safe hands. But our gorilla instead made us feel that we all had landed in a routeless clueless heaven where the survival of that chimpanzee was only by eating our heads off!!!!! Sorry that i praised her too much. Long live Art!

2. The mechanics of life are built on the basics of engineering.... jeez, i already feel sleepppy. but wait, he is the man in dark. only when he opens his eyes or Eeee nu ilichufies u ll know he is around. But he is a good source of light when he walks in the sun. i really find it hard to riddle with him as i was asleep 101 percent of his classes ;) "thambi poi mogatha kaluvitu vanga....." "sir.. vendam sir, apram innnum jasthi ah thookam varum.."

Day in & Day out

Everyday blossoms in a conducive way.. its in our hands to drive it on a road that is smooth, jerk-free and fun-filled. What we achieved in the day would have been a miniscule, but the sense of satisfaction and the state of mind at the EOD (ya guys, this is a term so commonly used in all internal e-mails in office :).. END OF THE DAY aama) is what really matters.!

Let's get off the superficial grounds and dig deep... I dont know how many of you actually do this>> At the end of each day, its always good to spend 2 minutes in the bed, awake ofcourse, and think about the day. What did i do, What did i lack,What do i need to do and Where do i have to change... These little things is what nurtures a man to his true senses and fosters the purpose of life.. So those of you who really do want to live a meaningful life and ofcourse a pleasingly genuine one, should come out of the box and be a good judge of his own deeds.

But coming back to the basics guys, lets evaluate each of our lifestyles. I live a very mechanical and bogged down kind of routine life... i seriously am getting kind of crazy about this way of doing things. I just wanted have a peep at each of our day in day out routines and learn back some basic stuff that i would have probably lost on my flight to Delhi :)) so come on, lets all pen down what each of our days of our lives are like..

Mine is pretty crisp.. hence easy to narrow them down here... Get up at 8.30 (10 mins before th cab comes) >> Pushups, brushin, bath, 2 vit c tablets, Zoooom got ready >> hop on to the cab >> Be one of the very few and first persons to enter office >> Start working >> Break for Maaza at 11 >> Continue working like crazy >> Break for lunch >> Guest house lunch and an icecream occasionally >> Get roasted in the sun and rush back to office >> Sink back into the push back chair >> unda mayakathula saamy aadikitu working engira perula mouse click and keyboard press (Reliving College Days) >> Intha kashtamana velaya paaka oru cup coke >> Continue working frenzy >> evening coffee from coffee machine >> Then comes the most interesting session of the day >> Going down to LINTAS media (full of gallllss that too angells ;),.... forgot to mention what we go there for>> To grab a snack or tomato soup >> Back to the same old seat with more pain on the cervical bone up the spine >> Then work even more till my eyes cry out loud in pain >> 10.30pm hogaya >> phir, call the cab >> Get back home, go to apni rasoi / pizza hut / subway and get something to eat >> Watch How i met ur mother on the office laptop ;) >> Fall of asleep without realizin as the battery drains down and hug the laptop and sleep!!!!!!

THE MIND

I have wondered often how does our mind evolve. We are all born with the same brain , with the same white matter, gray matter , yet each one tends to behave differently. How come ? Where does this sixth sense , the instinct , esp etc etc come in to play . Oh God, Everything seems fuzzy. What are dreams , How do dreams turn into reality? How can we remember dreams? Seems still more fuzzy.Well everyone should understand the difference between the physical entity brain and something called the mind .No one has been able to find a concrete answer for it yet though there are a number of theories . What if the next generations question us about this? All we can say is that we are human beings and we are SUPPOSED to have 6th sense. Since it is not in our scope to find the answer for this;one can try to find out but only to be branded as insane ;we can discuss about what can we do to make our mind .

Well i recollect reading that the conscious part of the mind is 1/4th of the total (which i cant understand still) we all know that the mind gets trained based on how it is used , how the person is exposed and the environment of the person. Exceptions are there , persons , who inspite of their environment have overcome the odds due to their sheer will power. It's a well known fact that worries are as long as we think about it, if we ignore it nothing will bother as . If ,in our mind it is hardcoded that water is milk the we will drink water thing it as milk.

Those from biology stream would have learnt about the motor neuron experiment: a dog when provided meat at the fall of a spoon drools whenever it hears the sound of the spoon falling. The same is with us . When we train our mind accordingly to face any situation and whatever be the problem , we can cross all barriers easily .Rather than brooding about a problem and involving us with the emotional aspects of it the best way is to think of the solution with a clear mind. Most of us dont do that , which often leads to wrong decisions been taken. This will help us not only in our corporate life but also in our personal life.

Also coming to training mind, we will be occupied with our work, very difficult to think anything other than that .But the monotony of our job will make us get fed up easily with the job and will affect our personal life as well. What i suggest is that , have some hobby, make it a point to engage urself in any activity during free time, even charity. People used to say "Epo panna punniyamo ipo avan nalla irukan". Its not abt the phenomenon "punniyam", it is all abt the mind the feeling, the satisfaction that an act of charity gives that drives us."Do Good experience the same"all these concepts come under this.

Why do people say , "dream" , "think positively" and "you are what you think"? Its all about the power of mind . Some times the power of mind is so intense that what we think about others happens to them . Why? No one has been able to discover it.

Why does everyone stress on education? It is the best way to bring out the capacities of a human being if done in a proper way,as we all know it is not now ;So the best way one can enlighten himself is through self learning and introspection. Think about what u have done , and what you have achieved , its is the best way to train your mind at this juncture.

This post might seem a little fuzzy and certain things out of context; if so please ignore them as I had a number of distractions while writing this blog. Hope you spend atleast few seconds to reflect about yourself daily. if not daily once in a week. It will help you improve you a lot

A VIDEO TO SHARE

I dunno how many of you know about Formula 1 , yet i write this post as i felt it must be done.

Yesterday I watched a video on YOUTUBE a post f1 race conference where the first three winners were being interviewed , as it is a customary in F1 Races. This incident which I speak about happened i the early 2000 may be 2003 I duno. Most of you guys know schumi was at his peak and it happened to be that schumi by winning this race had equalled Ayrton Senna's(another f1 great) record for the most wins . Mike his brother Ralph Schumacher and , Mika Hakkinen were the three persons on the dias. The first question to schumi(not in exact words)

REPORTER: You must be very happy about this win?
SCHUMI: it is a special occasion for me , but i dont have any words to describe it.

REPORTER: It must be great that you have equalled Ayrton Senna's record of wins
SCHUMI: no not and begins to cry ..... (Hakkinen pats schumi)

Ralph signals for the reporter to query Hakkinen

REPORTER: Thank you Mike
To Hakkinen: Schumacher has been doing well for the past 6 races
HAKKINEN: "yes" .... he also begins to cry ... " Give me a break" continues crying
schumi is also crying

The focus shifts to ralph , while someone passes a towel to schumi. Ralph does not cry but.

I wondered how come a legend cry like a baby while mentioning senna's name. As far as i know senna was a f1 great whose racing knack was unmatched. This created an interest in me to know more of senna. I was then surprised for what i read about him was simply stunning.

Senna was not only a great racer but also a great human being , to the extent that he stopped in the mid of a race and ran to help the driver who had crashed ;only a few would do it because at F1 a lot of money is at stake. The surprising fact is that he went on to win the race.Senna was the one who stressed for the need of more safety measures for f1 as the drivers were being killed in freak accidents. But the sad part is that the crusade which he carried on was achieved only upon his death , death by a freak accident in the san marino gp , imola.

The inspiration he created among all as a driver and a human being , well only few people can do it. There is no wonder why he lives in the minds of all and no wonder why schumi cried after equalling his record.

We know many sports persons or real life characters who have been great models in real life and also in sporting , lance armstrong who battled cancer to become a cycle champion, michael phelps who overcame his hyperactivity phenomenon and is now a olympic champion,Steve waugh popularly known as the iceman of cricket for keeping his cool even in tough times, but also involves himself with udayaan in calcutta .

There are also many inspiring characters apart from sport , Mother Teresa,Aung San Suu Kyi of burma.

I implore you to think how humane have u been in ur life so far how compassionate have u been to ur fellow beings?

I dont ask you to be like the above personalities . But in this fast paced world there is little time for being human. Be compassionate when u can . Be a normal Human Being

A TOUR OF HYDERABAD

My parents had come to hyderabad to spend the weekend with me . The arrived on saturday by flight. The next day we had planned for a city tour and as per the schedule we started on 8:30. The first place we visited was Birla Mandir where I could not go becoz i had to be with my dad who couldnt climb steep slopes. From what my mother said the view from the top must be fantastic. Then it was timne we switched buses. This time our bus was like right out of a walt disney set :) modeled like a caterpillar, but not as slow as it. So into the catepillar we went. Our next destination was charminar, but which was only a drive through it . I managed to take some pictures of it. Though it was magnificient the surrounding areas are filthy making the place unfit for tourists to make a stop.

The next place was a chow_something palace which belonged to the nizams of hyderabad . The excellence of mughal architecture is unmatched, There are totally 4 mahals within the premises of the palace each of them serving a distinct purpose right from housing the durbar to the store of vintage cars, the paintings, the artifacts like bowls, chandeliers, paintings , armour, silver plates, daggers, pistols, scabbards and swords were absolutely briliant :)

Our next dest was salar jung museum . For an average individual it may seem boring, But for an art admirer that place is a heaven. I would like to mention a carving in marble called the veiled lady (of course i forgot the name) i thought there was a veil draped over her face but on close inspection i found that it was purely marble and nothing else.It seemed as viewing the face through a translucent cloth but it was entirely carved in marble. I was stunned.

The next thing of that place was a mechanical engineering marvel .There was a clock which had gerat carvings . At the top of the dial there was a blacksmith with a hammer stricking an anvil. This takes place for all seconds . Then came the twist 2 minutes before the hour completed a small door opened an a bell man came out. And exactly when the hour hand touched the next hour the man rang a small bell ,the number of strokes equal to the time .The entire event was being telecasted in a big hall.

Sudha car museum , a guiness record holder for manufacturing different designs of cars. All the cars are hand made and are working models. There were cars like a f car, train , computer , pen , burger and almost all the possible designs and then i realized the caterpillar bus was also designed here .:)

Then we visited golconda fort , a long way to climb up but an excellent for spoiled by the local public . Suddenly i realized that the dome in golconda fort is known for reverbration, a phenomenon of multiple reflection of sound. I clapped my hands and eagerly waited for the response. Suddenly I heard a clap close to my ear, I wondered." wow the acoustics is still good" . Then much to my frustration it was the clap from another guy who was trying to test the same. He too did not obtain any result beoz many others were clapping . Finally i decided to drop my idea of testing :)

The last part of the journey was through Hussain Sagar lake, true to its name is not a lake but huge as an ocean . There is a statue of buddha floating there. This float was erected by L&T.

Thus ended my eventful sojourn with much knowledge of the places of interest in Hyderabad not to mention the leg pain i got because of scaling the entire golconda fort in 15 min.

For art & architecture freaks these places are a must to visit and for food freaks still Hyderabad is a place to visit becoz of it's biryani not to mention the malls and imax. Thank god we did not go for an iv else we would have ended up touring the bars and pubs of Hyderabad (no offence again)

A thought....

Once upon a time a very strong woodcutter ask for a job in a timber merchant, and he got it. The pay was really good and so were the work conditions. For that reason, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.

His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he was supposed to work.

The first day, the woodcutter brought 18 trees

"Congratulations," the boss said. "Go on that way!"

Very motivated for the boss’ words, the woodcutter try harder the next day, but he only could bring 15 trees. The third day he try even harder, but he only could bring 10 trees.Day after day he was bringing less and less trees.

"I must be losing my strength", the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.

"When was the last time you sharpened your axe?" the boss asked.

"Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees..."

This is the same thing happening in our life. After getting settled in a company, we perform the tasks given to us monotonously without sharping n shapin our knowledge. There has to be a CHANGE

Friends Forever !!!!!!!!

"I keep my friends as misers do their treasure, because, of all the things granted us by wisdom, none is greater or better than friendship."
-- Pietro Aretino (1537)

"There is nothing worth the wear of winning, but laughter and the love of friends."
-- Hillaire Belloc

Except in cases of necessity, which are rare, leave your friend to learn unpleasant things from his enemies; they are ready enough to tell them."
~ Oliver Wendell Holmes

"The most I can do for my friend is simply to be his friend. I have no wealth to bestow on him. If he knows that I am happy in loving him, he will want no other reward. Is not friendship divine in this?"
~ Henry David Thoreau

I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for
that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy.
Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun.
