The Curious Case of Information Technology

Hey guys.. Doesnt it sound a lil intriguing and familiar.. The second half of the phrase would ring a bell in our heads,.. But why Curious Case!! The thing about IT is that, it is known for this caption very prominently.. "The worst batch of students that the department has ever had"

But lets do an RCA.. Is this cliche that we've been hearing and people have been uttering true>>> "Worst batch ever seen...".. Well i would disagree... If we dig deep, i can give you some good stats about our batch in particular.

1. Well, we are the only class who constantly utilized the hired staff properly (kept them on their toes to chase us for assignments, attendance lag, record etc.,) 2. We were the only ones who kept our souls clean by not participating in any of the college or intercollege events 3. We kept our identities confidential and secret to the college by not winning or clinching any prize or award on intracollege events (Exhibits our Humble, Down to earth, non-greedy nature) 4. Above all we have dontated so much money to charity in the name of ITA where all the money flows into the Ghajana and nothing ever comes out in favor of us 5. U might think this is all, but no, we also have had some phenomenol academic records of arrears 6. Last, but not least, we exceptionally stood united as a class for all 4 years and set an example for Pirkaala sangathigal

Enough of the naked truth :) Lets look at the positive side of it. All though we were a diverse crowd, we still stood together and achieved 99 percent placement results and decent figures of dual placements.... Above all there was a close contender, whom, i still feel should have been the BEST OUTGOING STUDENT of our college.. Lieutenant Rogers Jeffrey. Lets all confide that this deserving chap will get his credentials in some other disguised form of blessing. We've also had some ground-breaking geniuses who have shone their worth time and again. Beyond all this we have some strong college club participation. Distinguished members from our class have earned top notch positions in renowned clubs like STUDENTS UNION, NSS, NCC, ISTE, IE, YRC, FINE ARTS and many more. Guys pls do include the few more that i've left in that list :)

  1. well said senthil.. we do stand out unique with those 'good stats';) i think we were the only dept who entered seeing unfamiliar faces, names unknown nd left with familiar faces, still names unknown!! so much of involvement in all activities.. (who knows wat activities come up) nd wat a coordination we had in dept functions! call anyone to help u with some event nd forget it.. no one turns up to respond u! remember when seniors showed strength by their presence nd we, by bycotting it?

nd we also had all fun parts of coll life like freshers, farewell, everything na??!! gr8!!

but still the positive side showed up somehow.. am sure still most of our classmates dunno in which club which person was nd wat role one held there!

congrats rogers for the best outgoing student in our dept:) don worry abt the other senthil.. he'll get a better place to showcase his talents nd be recongnised at a higher level.. psg s too small for him:)

  3. Well said both of you :) I disagree with one small thing that you had put Senthil... About participating in inter college events... Me and Rogers were very much interested in it... Poor guy he dint have enough time for it... And not many of them know this I think, I have won prizes :) Came 10th in International level coding contest, the only non-IITean team...

And I agree that excepting a few of our faculties no one has the damn right to comment about our class[of course with us in it!!]...

Our class was the only class that had so many Senior NSS volunteers: Karthi[the sec of course], Peria, Prathi, Shanthee and more like Sindhu...

How many of the faculties atleast know that I was IE's Secretary and Rogers was Co-chairman...

And Senthil's Joint Sec post also in YRC...

Just one line for these unworthy faculties:
"When you point at someone, three fingers point at you!!"

  4. well thanks for ur wishes.. yaaro enakku psg small place nu sonnaga ketukonga pa ... well college memoirs seem to be etched in our mind perfectly, both bad and good.We have been the greatest in charity , spending money for paying some one else's water tax(ITA). When i met HOD the day before i vacated the hostel he enquired me about the ITA accounts.treasury empty ... bills not settled.... unlike the others we stood out and questioned their heinous acts. kudos to all .

  6. Ha ha good one jeff on that water tax stuff..

All the money that fell into the claws of these bunch of hooligans and barbarians is accounted as charitable tax :)

We are members of WWE as we have donated for the benefit of animals nu ninachu we can strengthen our thoughts!

And karthika wait and watch.. the story is not over yet.. all ppl get ready to give jeff somme nice toast of bashes!!

@prathy, the thing bout politics is that.. we will always keep losing unless we take charge and ride with it using our own hook n crook ways..

  7. yes our college is governed by politics and we have been silent spectators to all. The department cant even voice for it's own students. And ,MR.Senthil u often come up with the idea of bashing me up.I will make sure that u dont miss one :) prathi award eh miss agirichu so nothing about the spelling . Some times i feel that i let the persons down, who were expecting me to win. thinking deeply i realized this is what that not matters.
